About to buy my first CVO
« on: March 06, 2015, 11:52:44 AM »

Hey everyone! Chicago native here, been riding a Honda Shadow for far too long and I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on my first Harley...a 2005 CVO Fat Boy! Its beautiful and has every mod I'd ever want to do to the bike! It only has 18k miles, super clean, and one of the more rare colors for that year (candy cobalt/starlight black). The bike has like-new brakes and tires, has had its 15k service, and the service department has gone through it with a fine tooth comb and have found no issues at all.

I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on what other questions I should ask the HD sales guy, etc.... I've also posted in the CVO Fat Boy specific forum with some questions about the SE 103 motor - please feel free to check it out and chime in!!!! Looking forward to chatting with you all!

That 2005 CVO Fatboy is a beautiful bike.  I'd want to know the service history but it sounds like you found a good one.    :2vrolijk_21:

It is a nice looking bike, the only thing missing is 6 speed gearbox.

The Dealer can tell you alot buy looking at the ECM, I would try and find about any internal engine mods.
