I know typically the quieter exhausts make more power.     And the 2 into 1s are supposed to be really good.

I heard the vance & hines header pipes don't fit with the brake pedal on the 15's

On my 13 cvo I had the full sac x with rhinehart slip ons, and largest baffles, and just not enough sound for me runs great,  but I want more sound

with the drooped bags, I want a pipe on each side going out the back, I was thinking about a 2 into 1 with a ghost pipe?

Any good recommendations on a nice system,  I plan on the tman 625 cams like I had on my 13 as well

Hard to beat the performance and loudness of a D&D Fatcat.

I had a 13 CVO RG and on it I had the Bassani head pipes and the 4 in Rinehart racer with black tips .... they sounded pretty good and started off with a power commander...(dealer suggested it). Found out the hard way pc doesn't work well with CVOs so now it has Screaming Eagle tuner.....They were definitely ground pounders....good sound. Just traded up to a 15 RG Ultra CVO and order the new Rinehart head pipes and 4in Rinehart racers.... tuner .. and no cam as of yet but probley will at 2000 miles.. As for the dyno numbers not goin to give you the most horse power or torque just sound great....

You want pretty loud...go with Freedom Performance Racing true duals. I have the tuck under true duals with the racing slip-ons.......they will definitley hear you coming.

In terms of power Fullsac makes a 2-1-2 headpipe and baffles which a lot of people on this site swear by...but they just were not loud enough for me. Pair that with a TTS Mastertune and it runs well.

I'm reserved about suggesting this.  Myself and a few of the guys that I rode with twenty years ago all have hearing problems now with certain tones (the soft tones of women, mostly) that we all believe came from running the Thunderheader exhaust for years.  That exhaust has the deepest tone of any exhaust and I believe it's still the loudest also.  That exhaust will definitely get everybody's attention.

A set of true duals with CFR (Cary Faas Racing) mufflers.  Can't say for sure this is the loudest, but it is LOUD and sounds great...like a small-block V8...CFRs are 100% deep bass sound, no high frequency painful raspy ear-splitting noise.  Won't make you deaf to women's voices (that might be a negative to some   ;)  ), just to everything else   ;D.

For others who want a great deep sound but not a whole lot louder than stock: the stock head pipe with catalytic converter still in, plus CFR mufflers, will get it done.

I had the CFRs on my SGS with dresser duals and I wasn't a fan of the sound.  It was very low and thumpy.  I prefer the classic Harley sound like Vance and Hines or Rinehart.   I need a little raspiness.

Realistically they are all at least a little obnoxious. :) Kind of the whole point. Just a matter of how much before you can not even stand it yourself!

Agree with this statement. I have Freedom True Duals with CFR's and the sound is insane! It is not for everyone but sounds like this is exactly what you might be looking for...JMHO

I've found the Perfect Storm and Reinharts to be quite loud and seem to produce a well balanced sound... for those up here running those setups.

I have the Crusher True Duals headpipes and the Tailgunner Gunships (without baffles) as the tailpipe.  Basically, open pipes.  The TTS is tuned for the Ventilator air intake and Racing Exhaust, and the match seems to work very well.  No popping on decel, and a nice rumble at idle.

I'm often asked to ride trail due to the Loudness factor.  On a memorial run along the neighborhood of a fallen rider, the family had asked if we could rack the pipes as we rode past their home.  We had maybe 25 to 30 bikes, and I was riding trail...  when it came time for me to rack the pipes... the lead rider came across the CB and told me "Damn T-Hawk, I can hear you way up here".

So I guess my combination may be a little too loud for some.   8)

I appreciate this honesty. While the owner rider may like his loud pipes we do not live alone. I did a charity ride one and was behind a guy with straight pipes on a Heritage and I made sure I was not behind him on the remaining legs of the ride.  I do respect the right to have whatever pipes you like but with that right comes responsibility. I wonder how many people look down on extremely loud motorcycles?

I am coming off the give me loud wagon and moving to the more quiet but pleasant sound. May be I'm getting old? Maybe I find it irritating to hear all that noise? Maybe I like the radio more now who knows what it is? I just don't need the loudest bike of the bunch anymore.

I, believe it or not, actually prefer riding in the back... as I've been our HOG Groups Head Road Captain for a few years... leaving the Lead position on our rides to my most experienced Road Captains.  I ride as the 'Saftey' guy, and so that no one has to put up with the loudness even at cruise.  If I come screamin' up to the front of the Group... they all know somethings up within.

We have quite a few motorcycles up here as compared to the density of some other areas... and the Loud Pipes/Save Lives campaign seems to help up here at least.

I too like to listen to some tunes, and really don't have to turn up the volume to compensate for the pipes... so long as I'm not pounding out a sprint, the stereo is sometimes louder than the pipes.

It's all about personal preference... and being a good neighbor sometimes.

Agreed..When I was hit a few years ago the first thing the woman said who changed lanes into me "I didn't see you"...yes..she was problably stupid or distracted, but I find the loud pipes get you noticed even by the visually challenged cage drivers out there.
