Motorcycle Dollies?
« on: April 26, 2015, 05:37:26 PM »

Have any of you tried one of the available Motorcycle Dollies out there?
I have to parl the SERK crosswise in front of the two cages in the garbage.
I've maneuvering it back/forth until I get it just so - but was thinking maybe one of those
Dollies would be easier, faster and more efficient.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have the Low Profile Motorcycle Dolly from Harbor Freight. It sells for $99.99, but there is usually a $30.00 coupon out there for it. I also park my bike in front of my car. Before I got this dolly, I had to move both cars put of the garage to maneuver the bike into place. Now I only need my car out of the garage. I ride my bike right up on the dolly, flip both ends up and it's ready to roll where I want to put it. Then when I'm ready to ride. I just roll it out from the wall, flip down the ends and ride it right off. The directions do say, that you shouldn't ride the bike on or off the dolly. Bike is just to heavy to push up on it, I can push it off. I feel like this is one of the best items I have bought for my bike.

I think what NIcky Pass is showing is a m/c jack, I'm not sure I've seen a dollie that you ride on or off  :worthless:

Maybe this will help....the link has video, too

The Cycle Dolly is a one-person user-friendly motorcycle stand/mover. One person can load, move, and unload a motorcycle in a matter of minutes. Most people who own a motorcycle have to share a garage with a car or other items, the Cycle Dolly allows a person to put their cycle in a corner or up against a wall with a push of their hand! See our video on this page for a demonstration of how easy it is to walk-on and walk-off. The Cycle Dolly is proudly made in the USA.

I remember a few years ago they had one that you ride up on (front wheel chock I believe) and it rotated your motorcycle so you could ride it out the way you came in.  No reason why you couldn't stop side ways.....but I'm sure it's not cheap either.  Google might be your best friend right now.

I've also seen one in a service dept. somewhere.....real low profile and pretty much just a rail with a side plate for the kickstand to rest on.  I thought that was pretty slick, too.
