Be skeptical if you must, but I'm convinced.  And yes, I swear the bike has more pull and power.  Sure seat of pants dyno but differences all the same.  Try it or don't...it's your call.

Bought a 5L jug at the local NAPA and will give it a try.  Had to ask for it as they had it back in stock room, not on display.  Just had a dealer service with Syn 3 so will wait a few miles to try the Moly.  I'm sure the Syn 3 will get noisy after a couple thousand miles in summer heat.  As others I'm concerned if oil pressure goes too high as it tells me the oil pump is working harder to push the oil volume through the bearings and oil routings.

I've been running Amsoil in my '09 SERG, but with this glowing review, I'm getting a 5L tomorrow night at Napa on my way home from work.  I'll be picking up a Harley oil filter tonight.  I'm also picking up a quart of Redline Shockproof HD gear oil tonight and will be swapping out the trans oil this weekend as well as the motor oil with the new Liqui Moly.  I have the primary off right now doing my 30 tooth conversion and will be putting plain HD primary oil back in the primary.

I will let you all know how the Liqui Moly works for my stock 110" motor to quiet down the sewing machine noise between 2500/3500 rpms.

Looking forward to your report. Why don't you use the Redline primary fluid also?

mjb, I was not familiar with their primary oil.

I'm sure it's not called Harley primary oil, so what should I look/ask for when I pick up my Shockproof at the race shop?

Are they all the same?? I see 2 different colored bottles on EBAY, but the description is the same. One blue bottle and one grey looking bottle. Synthoil GT1
I think they changed the bottle and labeling.  But I cant be for sure.
Thanks

If there is a Cycle Gear store near you they carry the Redline Transmission oil and the Redline twin cam Primary oil.

For about 15 years it was called "MTL", now it is stickered, saying V-Twin Primary Case Oil.

Yup, Redline just relabeled existing products and initially sold them for more than the equivalent products sold to the automotive market.  Eventually many of us oldtimers who had been using the automotive product for years "outed" them in the forums, and then rather than reduce the price of the motorcycle lubes they just jacked up the automotive versions.

V-Twin Primary Lubricant is really MTL, which stands for Manual Transmission Lubricant.  Exact same product, different labeling on the bottle.

V-Twin Transmission Lubricant is really Shockproof Heavy gear oil.

If you want to use Redline and you don't see the V-Twin product on the shelf, just buy the automotive version.

Jerry, that's a big help.

I'm actually picking up the Shockproof locally at a race car shop, so it's probably the automotive labeling that he has.  He may also have MTL, I just didn't ask for it.

Thanks to all that have replied to my questions.  Also didn't mean to hijack this thread.

I run this oil. It didn't quiet down my motor too much but it's holding up nicely and it can be had for less than $80 on Ebay for 10litres. I will continue to run it. It is well discussed and used over on HTT.

Not a miracle oil but a nice option.

X-2..Noticed the lifter tick on startup reduced, maybe the 10W filling the lifter  quicker??

We've shelved Red Line products here for just about 2 decades now.
Most all our local clients don't use anything else anymore.
