Leave the 255 in(a great cam when tuned properly) add a SE 58mm TB, swap out the CVO mufflers for a set of 4" Rineharts
Get a great tune,,,  that is key... Anything more will require pulling the heads

I believe my bike has a 58mm TB so is the SE 58mm TB an upgrade? Thanks Mr. D, CR

Simple the CVO 110 is unchanged in any way for engine other than the twin cooling.

The twin cooled vs air cooled 103 yes things did change there. So with your bike any mod that worked on a 2008 bike will work on your in the same fashion.

They come stock with a 50 MM FBW.. And real world proof a 58 is a waste of money with the stock cam. The power curve on the stock vs 58 will show up at approx 4250+ rpm range look for a gain of about 6-8 hp with stock heads and a performance cam..

This is not opinion but real world testing with back to back runs

Good luck

Thanks GMR and LC110 - reading on the differences between air cooled and twin cooled 110's and there is mention of changes to the cams related to the engine changes on the Rushmore bikes. This is from the article "Six Things You Should Know About Liquid Cooled 2014 Harley-Davidsons" on motorcycle.about.com...

"You may have heard that Harley has boosted engine output between 5 and 7 percent, which might make you think those gains are all due to liquid-cooled heads. But that’s not entirely accurate. The engine improvements which came with Project Rushmore include new cam profiles with higher lift and duration, which aids overall performance. But both the standard and Twin-Cooled engines see the performance gains."

So the questions that are now stuck in my head include but are not limited to :) ... "is this a new 255 cam or did the 255 cam just come out with the 2014 twin cooled bikes? And if the 255 has been around for years and people are comparing cam choices, are those comparisons against the old 255 or the new Rushmore 255 they reference in these technical articles?"

The article is similar to another we've seen, and it is misleading to say the least.  The cam profile changes and air box changes are in reference to the stock parts on the standard engines, not the CVO110.  The CVO engine is the same it has always been since its inception, with the exception of the heads for the liquid cooling version of course.  Any minor performance difference between the Twin Cooled and the air cooled 110's would be related to the tune.  Liquid cooling the heads would have allowed a more aggressive factory tune in terms of ignition timing, for instance.

The short answer is, your cams are the same as any other SE255 cams.

GRC

Steve Cole can tell you more but I have not seen any increase in performance from air cooled to twin cooled power wise. So if there is any timing changes its mid section cruise range to reduce emissions.

However the SE pro tuner is not turning on the cooling fans now with the newest updates until 255F...  :wall:  So with the increase in engine temp before  fan turn on , newer customers are not so happy.. TTS solves that issue though , Pro tuner our hands our tied..

Great info and clarity Jerry, and GMR 255F is pure madness! My 13' Cuse8 ran super hot like that too, a real leg burner, even after unstuffing her with se ac, dd 2:1, and se tuner, but happy to say the 15' fltruse spec'd as above with Fullsac and TTS runs much cooler,  never over 230 and usually around 215 and seems to cool down much quicker as well.

How'd you guess? Yep.

Get in touch with Russel @ Lone Wolf Performance.
He's in Nanaimo, B.C.

I have taken both of my Harley's to him for tuning and he does a GREAT job. You won't be sorry.

Well - after wasting a small wheelbarrow of my money with a more local tuner that talked me into woods tw-7h cams "we've installed hundreds, they're just awesome", v&h 2:1 stainless pro pipe (later on after a bad tune saying "it's actually a race pipe so you need big mods to get the real benefits"), a direct link and a poor tune only to go backwards in every imagineable way (hp, tq, sound, and a head banging thwacking"!@#$!) from what I previously should have stayed with as a basic runner (Fullsac dx, 2" cores, se air breather, tts)... I listened to Mike Jesse and contacted the one man show that is Russell at Lonewolf Performance in Nanaimo, BC and he put everything right. Back to FS dx, 2" cores, and tts and a great tune.  Oh yeah and changed the cams to his recommended tc-24's. Took the 5am ferry across to the island this morning, Russel even picked me up to save the costs of a taxi, and after a quick and satisfying test run I am once again happy (until I go back to do more work with Russel) and heading back across the straights to the mainland. Thanks Mike - great recommendation and worth every penny. No doubt there will be many more from the valley headed back across these waters to do work with the Lonewolf!

I've been to Lonewolf's on 5 different occasions, saw the Fat Chinaman once and he brought nothing. For retribution his key fob wound up in my pocket and I wound up a long ways away.

Haha, I wish! Pretty sure he would have made that happen if I had more time. We were texting because the ferry was running 20 minutes late due to a "loose life raft malfunction" and since he was picking me up at Duke Point (20 minutes from his shop) I need to look for his vehicle on arrival and say "what are you driving?" His reply? "My bike bitch!" I had to put my glasses on to make sure I was reading that right... and thinking to myself I hope it's not a sportster
