When you can convince a man to pay $70 for a black t shirt, the possibilities become endless.

Wow!! That is so true. I can hear the developers in the back room of HD " These turds are so dumb we can sell them anything".

No doubt in my mind, and I have to say that they aren't far off in that assessment, based on some of the people I've known and others I've "met" on the internet.  It's actually similar to how some folks view Apple.  The more overpriced and underwhelming the product, the more some folks swear by both the product and the company.  On the other hand, some of us just swear AT them.

How is it HDs fault that "some" of their customers are gulable and willing to overpay?

I recommend looking in the mirror instead of blaming the manufacturer.

To me it's easy, just don't buy it if "you" (not anyone specific) don't think it's worth the money.

Was at the Dealership today. The service Manager had the bulletin on the recall in his hand. He said that the replacement clips are supposed to ship on the week of the 13th. That is the week we are in.  Very easy fix. More of a PITA to go have it done!!!!

I had one of mine come loose as well, speaker wires kept it tight enough so it didn't completely come off.  I put thicker rubber washers in there, seems to give it more pressure to work with, cost about $2, easy fix.

You can buy the same from your local hardware store.  Not a big difference in price either way.  IMHO, this is way more convenient and cost effective solution than Brukus.

Recall made our local news today.  Was shocked to see Harley recall on TV. Must be a class action law suit going on or something. Said it affected over 150,000 bikes from 2014 to 2015.

Got a set of bagger bolts from baggerbolts.com. Shipped to the UK, took 15 mins to fit them, brilliant service, great company

I can't blame HD.  They are pricing items based on what the market will bear.  If $70 t-shirts don't sell, they'll lower the price.  I've basically quit buying HD clothing because of the price.

I was in Little Rock yesterday for the 1k service call.  They knew about the recall and changed the pins out for me no problem.
I don't know whether to trust the new pins or go back to my u-nuts and bolts.  I know I felt secure with the nuts and bolts, so I may switch back.  Gonna go out and have a good look at the arrangment, then decide.

A couple of good guys. I went to one of the local dealers and got the new clips to close the recall and I didn't even take them out of the bag. I'm leaving the bagger bolts on there.
