Hey Harry, Travelowes Motel is pet friendly so you don't have to leave the pup at home or boarded.
Maggie Valley is awaiting! Mount your cup holder and head east for the GTG.

You make a good point (but then you've got that awesome citrus hot rod, and I wouldn't ever put a drink holder on that scoot!).
Both Patty and I don't want to cross that line and then find out one day that we've gauded up our bike with all these chrome thingy's and now we look like one of these psychedelic chromed up Gold Wings (with apologies) that you see once in a while.  You know the kind.  Look like they weigh about 2,000 lbs.
It's just that on the last trip we took, we both went thru the water like we were dying from lack of it.  Figure the more you ride, the more you run into that.
Don't have an easy answer to that dilemma, except to just carry water in one of the bags, and then stop in the shade somewhere for a sip.  But stopping is time lost on a run, especially when there's no good place to stop.  I thought the holder would be nice as she could pass a drink to me once in a while that way, too.
I'm still undecided.  One thing for sure...I do my homework first on the thing I think I need, then wait a while.  If I still want/need it, then maybe I'll get it.
It's like you and I have said, Bob...everybody else in this thread that's weighed in has liked it from the get-go, or fell in love with it later.  That speaks highly of a product.
Hey, and I did see the one on JCZ's bike, and it didn't look bad to me!   ;D

Thanks for the input.  Always appreciated!

When I get my Ultra Classic limited low, you can bet 2 of those are going on it. Right now i stay hyderated pretty good before i leave on a road trip, cup holder or not thats important before you even start plus with the wife on the back we usally stop every 100 miles or so anyway for a break. Those holders i think look good on full baggers.

In spite of everyone enjoying this product, I, on the other hand, don't care much for it.  Upon purchase of the bike last August, I installed both the handlebar Kury holder as well as the passenger cup holder on my ultra.  I installed the drivers on the left handlebar using the clutch mounting screw location.  Result, when I let go of the left handlebar at speed, the handlebar vibrates significantly.  In regards to the passenger mount, wife states it holds the cup so securely that the last time she removed the cup, the bracket bent.  Anyway, I for one am not impressed with this product.  JMO

Wife has it on her Dyna.  Handlebar mount, not clutch perch.  No vibrations.  She keeps a straw in whatever drink she has and just leans forward to get a drink without removing it, but when she does take  it out it's not been a problem.  I'm guessing size and flexibility of cup would cause the grip to be so tight as to bend it.  I installed it for her and it was definitely NOT flimsy metal.  But if a solid plastic cup was tight against the rubber nubs I could see it bending if you pulled it hard without holding the ring down.  And that's something you wouldn't be likely to be able to do while riding.

I'm going to install the cup holder and pouch this weekend on our new TP.  I'll add a couple of pics for reference.  :)

i'm gonna agree here.  the wife bought one for her bike.  she hated it.  it was just too big and bulky.  when I got my cvo, I gave her the one off my old bike (1'' handlebars vs the cvo 1-1/4'').  it was a barefoot willies.  not nearly as obtrusive.  she likes it much better.

Bout time they come out with a Low version of the ultra. If they would make a CVO Low Ultra I might be looking. I did sit on one of the Low version and I fit perfect with my feet flat on the floor. It would have been mine that day if I weren't so deep in the one I have. ::)

That's a Kruzer Kaddy?  I had that one a few years back.  It was the biggest piece-o-crap I've ever bought to put on my bike.  Its dumped more drinks all over my bike that I couldn't trust it to hold anything other than gloves when I was parked.  I lost my two favorite low center of gravity mugs out of it and had a driver of a car pull up at a light and start screaming at him for throwing a water bottle at him.  Only me showing him the holder spinning and vibrating and rattling like an AMC Pacer got the guy to calm down.

So my question is - Did they make it a solid mount that doesn't "Swivel", which I guess is their term for spin in circles instead of holding a liquid filled container upright?  Because if it still turns I'd stay as far away from that thing as I could.  Even though it is much prettier than the Kury thing which looks like it belongs on a golf bag.

BTW, I don't use either on my bike.  I bought the saddlebag guard bags from HD (Hundred Dollars) and have one of those push to drink insulated cups that fit into its cup holder perfectly.  If any beverage spills out it hits the ground instead of my bike.  Yes, it does block the view of the side cases a bit and no its not chrome.  But it is very functional and saver for the paint.

I showed my wife the guard bags you're referring to, just feeling her out about them (cause they are big and black and no chrome, like you said), but she said let's think about it.  Later we saw a used bike that had them on it and they looked kind of saggy and a little dirty.  I'm guessing the previous owner didn't protect them and maybe parked outside a lot.  How are your's holding up so far?

Mine have been on this bike since I bought it in August of 2007.  They spent a year before that on my last dresser.  They're fine.  Still black.  Still solid.  Zippers still work and the leather isn't torn.  They've been parked indoors the entire time, but between the two bikes they've spent 105,000 miles on the road.  I keep the heavy tool pack, gas rag and a flashlight in the zipped compartment on one side.  On the other I keep a small detailing kit and my kickstand puck.  The left one hold my drink, usually a HD travel mug and the right one is open for my passenger who these days is usually my dog so it's a bottle of water.  Human passengers can reach without trouble.  The dog has said its a bit far so I have to pour some water out of the bottle into a portable dish for him.  I've found that it works best to stop and do this.   :)

I use HD or Armor All leather cleaner to clean them and then use true leather saddle protector/conditioner as a protector.  Usually its the HD brand simply because we don't have a convenient leather shop in my area and I think of it while I'm in the dealer and it saves me having to remember the next time I'm on Amazon.  Never ever do I use a silicone based spray shine crap solution on it.

You can sorta kinda see the one in that pic in my signature.  It doesn't cover the side plate completely, but it definitely blocks some of the paint lines that extend from side cover to saddlebag.  No matter what you do a drink holder on a dresser is fugly and makes it look like an old mans bike.  But then again, so does my gray hair and I'm still shy of 50!

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Kury 1692 and I must say, it is quality made and heavy, but it is BIG!  And maybe it's a little too gaudy for my purposes.  When the wife gets back from travel I'll let her see it.  If neither of us cares for it, it's going back.  Truth be told, it's a nice idea and I can see where it would be handy, but probably only for the summer's hottest months...unless you drink a lot of coffee or cocoa or something for those cold mornings.   Heck, the drink holder portion comes off easily enough, so maybe I will only use it on trips and leave the chrome framework mounted to the bike.  We'll see...

SORRY.  I MUST HAVE MISSED WHERE YOUR POST SAID FIXED NO SWIVEL

Cause "NEW AND IMPROVED" is such a detailed description that marketing people only ever put on packaging when they've made major changes.
