Don’t mention it, I’m just glad it made it there and I’m glad it made you happy.  If we ever get together for that French meal and speak French you will be doing all the talking and I’ll be doing all the eating.

With all this talk about dissing fellow members, I thought it would only be appropriate to thank my friend Alain from France for sending me a thank you package that arrived the other day in return for sending him that brochure.  There are a lot of good folks that hang around this forum.

Hi Alain and :welcome_005: from the UK.

I saw the Razor red SERK in Faak last year. The graphics on the paintwork are stunning. The gold leaf really stands out from the red.

Nige, I am 6' also. Just received my "standard 19.5"" clearview, lightly tinted with the recurve. It was fine for me but variables (seats, height from waist up, etc) have to be considered for each of us, as you know. I had been concerned about getting the right height and John at clearview had told me to try windhshield, with the protective coating on, and if it didn't fit to send it back, however I realize that this may not be an option for you due to shipping issues. Good luck, jj. (ordered mine 2/12/07 received 3/15/07)

Hi JJ - The exchange thing might be an issue as it is rather costly to ship things backward and forward across the pond.

Apart from being 6' 0" I am also changing the seat for Pillow Look Seat (51102-01A) which might also make me sit a little higher. I want to try and make sure that I get it right as obviously the screen cannot be altered because of the re-curve. Do you look through the creen or over it ? If you look over it and the 19.5" screen is OK then that may be the right height for me.

Cheers,

Nige

I tried out the 19 1/2 " clearview while riding with the HD Tall Boy seat that is stated to move rider up 1 1/4 " over the stock seat. I definitely look over my windshield and not through it.  With this set up I can see underneath a preceding vehicle that may be a couple of car lengths in front of me. Yeah I was also worried about the shipping costs which is why I referenced it. However I wasn't sure when you were coming over and as it would probably take you at least 5-6 weeks to receive shield across the big pond, thought that picking it up here may have been an option. With all of the members who have SERK's you could have tried it out while here and if it didn't work for you sent it back with instructions to send new one to your home. Just a thought. Good luck, jj.

They reckon you should see the floor about 50' in front of you as you look over the screen so by your description it seems that the height is nigh on perfect for you. I am still not sure if we are coming over to NY (though I would dearly love to and stopping in Howie's Den would be a blast), but if we did I would be able to take a look at Howie's screen and check out where mine needs to be.

I think the order to delivery time for you guys is about 3 weeks so I guess you would be right on the delivery time to the UK.

Would be good if I could decide on the right size, get it shipped to Howie's and then bring it back with me.
