Got mine 3 years ago today. It was 25 degrees, rode it home 150 miles. You do get that warm feeling inside when it arrives. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks a lot. I got to get back to your neck of the woods again. Last time I went to MBBW, we rode thru OB in hurricane like rain, got to Kitty Hawk and had to wait it out. Beautiful area when you don't have those rains! I ride my '85 Wide Glide in the winter all the time. 30's and 40's, no sweat. 20's, staring to get nippy. Teens, that chit is cold. A friend and I rode into the Village one night when it was 14 degrees a couple of years ago. I was bundled up so much I couldn't move. From then on, I draw the line. No teens! Temperature you pervs! Hoist! 8-)

Thanks a lot Jim. After all the bikes over all these years, I haven't felt like this since my first new one. I'm like a kid in a toy store on Xmas day! Can't explain that. Must be that CVO Voodoo or something! [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I remember from back then, I only took 1 pic. That was before the digital era. I'm making up for it with this one I guess. Glad you enjoyed them.

I just got a call from the dealer. My bike's almost done. It will be done by noon tomorrow. But I'll be at the Javits Bike Show, so I'm picking it up on Sun morning. The FLHRSE3 Domestic Owners Kit they gave me today had a "Maxi-Fuse" and "Maxi-Fuse Cover" in the bag. I think they need that to start the bike! I'm dropping it off to them in the morning, so I might get a few more pics tomorrow and see it run! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I'm in NYC man. You can never forget that they're all trying to kill you here. You do and you're dead! If I'm surprised about the handling after four other RK's, I'll be shocked. But that's what I was hoping for with the wider radial tires and better suspension. I'll let you know what I think. Thanks Bob

All kidding aside that's the ride report I'm especially interested in.  How the slightly reworked rear end feels and what difference the radial seems to make.  You might find a guy climbing off an ugly red bike in Hot Springs begging to take it for a short ride just to feel the difference.

That's the first thing I'm looking for myself. The RK was always an excellent handling bike. FLH without the extra weight, they handle great! The not overly wide rear tire , slightly wider front, radials, and good suspension. I'm expecting to notice a difference. Since I don't have the entire throttle in my hand until I break it in, I'm not sure how much I'll notice just putting around. After she's broken in, I'm giving her the full Hoist Test Ride! You're more than welcome to give it a spin. But be careful, You might be needing a SERKendectomy afterwards! Hoist! 8-)

Thanks Bud! I'll take fair over crappy any day of the week! Highs in the 30's in Jan. I'll take that. Gotta start breaking it in stock for a week, so I might as well have the weather to keep the bike cool. I can't get the PC on until the following week! Hoist! 8-)

Hi Hoist,
Great pictures! I bet you felt great witnessing the birth of your bike.
I never got the chance to do that since my dealer likes to keep the sales staff and customer in the dark about bike arrivals. They don't even take deposits. Only a call list that they use when a bike is in and setup.
I had a 6 month wait but it sure was nice to see it finally.
I know you must be anxious to ride it too. Maybe it will be for the best that you first ride it without the mods so you will have a basis of comparison?
