That type of happy horse-hockey is rampant in this industry..............
Example:
Joe's Cycle has large CVO Ventilator filters made by Green, in Broddock PA.
He recieved a call one day from them saying that the "drop shipment" to Wisconsin could not be processed as the card either had a daily limit, or something else was wrong.
He has never had a c/c, never placed an order.............. :o :o :o
Fact.

He found who it was.........
But back to the copied cam, folks will change a degree of duration, .003" of lift and presto-chango...........it's their cam.............buuuuuuuuuuuullchit.
It takes NOTHING to copy, but takes hard work, determination, to be innovative.
I guess if one ground/machined the S&S insignia's off the castings they could then call them theirs at that point??............makes me want to vomit. :confused5:

was the "company" that attempted to purchase what I am assuming was a private label filter.....able to buy them ?

Reason I ask is this.....you cannot buy a thicker green filter from green in the green color.....you can buy one in orange from a division of summit racing

and that is the only reason I asked

Our cam has been said to be a copy of the 24D.

SO  here is a our cam ( green line) compared to the 24D EX lobe

Without giving away what the true profile is ( with all the specs on either cam) , which then you give away  the complete cam . This is a comparative , used to check ground cams to the master in most cases.

This is using software for developing cams.. this came directly from Andrews.  What it is showing  is one lobe plot to the next..

So in this case I am only showing my EX lobe on this plot .   The white line ( look at the left side where zero is ) is the 24D ex lobe. So as you can see on the left the green line is flat on the white line.. Well that is base circle so yes that is the same( both cams have base circle that is a no brainer.). However you then see the green line move away and change direction that is the difference in our lobe vs the 24 D the blocks on the bottom are 10* per block.  All  you do is look at the white line labeled as 0- ( look to left of sheet )and anything that moves from that is change.

Short of being blind there is no way that anyone can look at this and tell me that it is a copy in any shape way or form of the 24D.

This very reason is why I laugh when so many talk about advertised cam numbers and think they know what is really going on..  Looking at a cam card specs is like looking at your entire life take one snap shot and from that one and only one pic you know everything about that person.  When you think about it that's got to be funny right.. I do wonder what picture people just thought about   ;D

No nothing is missing ,   this is a common file when building custom cams. it compares one lobe to the next.. nothing more extremely simple really.

So for clarity
Baseline zero is on the X axis and represents the 24d
The green line is the 577 variance only compared to 24d.
X is engine degrees Y is lift.

I read it as the 577 gets off the seat faster, and then accelerates up to the top of the lobe faster than the 24D.

I don't understand the graph...
This shows just the difference between the 2 cams (in this case, for the exhaust lobe).  If there was no difference, the green line would go across the page at the middle of the blue area (look closely at the left side; see where it has 0.00000?).  Instead, we see the green line at the far left starts at zero (no difference), then has a small "up-bump" then a small "down-bump," then there is the big bump (= big difference).

In the end, this shows that the 2 cams are not the same.

John Sachs did a build for me more last year.  Did the heads and used the 24d cam.  This bike runs great all the time.   Pm john for all the benefits.   Very smooth also. And I have a great power.  Stuart  :2vrolijk_21:

X-2 on the 24D's, Very pleased with them!
