FYI: I put these in my 96" RoadKing and the torque curve is pretty much flat across the board around 87.

I happened to have a ride uploaded from the RPMitUp App on my phone from before:

I put the se585  cams with se 10.5 pistons in my 2015 cvo.
I also have fuel moto header with Rinehart 4 inch mufflers with a sert
I am impressed with its performance
I believe it could use a little more  cam to kill some bottom end
I am wondering if I should to advance it 4 degrees

No
If anything you could want to retard it but that would cause issues potentially, heat with a late opening exhaust.

My original build had the stock 255 cam re-degreed 4 degrees, and now that I look back, it ran well with the minor bit of head clean up that builder did, along with the .030 head gaskets. I don't see anyone doing that.

Just doing some searching - my dealership seems to say this is can is the hot ticket for bolt in touring torque on a 110.

Some of these responses seem to contradict that.

Subscribing to see if beating the bush turns up any more opinions?

The dealer is wrong
Without adding compression it will loose torque compared to the stock cam
I speak from personal experience. It still will have a good amount of torque and the pipe is more of an influence on the shape of the curve but the low end under 2500rpm will take a hit.
Throw in a set of SE 10.5:1 pistons and you have a new story, porting better yet

Strange.

I don't doubt you, but they advertise it as the ideal bolt in upgrade for nagger riders and you're basically saying that's not the case.

I know many have had good luck swapping them in 103s. I was on board swapping the cam on a brand new bike but I wasn't into spending and doing much more than that.

Go ahead, it will pick up a few hp at the expense of off idle to 2500 torque.
Is that what you want?

Hey man, I don't doubt you. I'm just sayin I wish they were right.

I'll probably pass on the cam swap and just have them tune it

If you are a low end torque guy and like the feel of punch there plus have a pipe that cooperates you will be very happy. Plus the stock cam is a bit noisy along with stock springs but just have to live with that.

I can count on one hand the number of times my bike exceeds 4000 rpm in a season.

I am a roll on torque rider. I want immediate response from 2000 up.

I have the jackpot head pipe on the way - word on the street is if you want duals, that's the best way to go

I have been converted to a modest core size ( 2" ) on my own 110. I'm a believer. Might want to look into this if you haven't purchased you mufflers yet.

Unfortunately I already bought the 450s, took them out of the box and become smitten with them.

I was reading this again - and just to confirm - things are not the same if you up the squeeze, correct?  In that case, 10.5 pistons and a set of 585s and you may have a potent combination?
