Forward position on left side of bike....

That's all, folks!!

An added benefit is it keeps the passenger's boots off the left pipe a bit better...the spacers are 5/8" thick...that's all it took...any more would have been too much, and any less would have put the locking knob too close to the heat shield on the left header...

Ah Ha!  I've already put in my vote for chrome............but...........I just noticed your dipstick.  It's different.  I don't have those horizontal bars.

Yea, Henry...chrome would be nice.  you really can't even see the one on the left side, so no big deal there...I'm going to check into a couple of things and see what I come up with.

The dipstick I have shows temp and level...we were talking about that the other day on here...I think mine is a different version...It's very accurate too!!

SE...shoot me a PM...I'm picking up two sets today and only one is spoken for.

Has anybody ever polished aluminum to a high gloss?  The Doherty parts I got are done that way and you can't tell 'em from chrome.  Wonder if the Dremel little buffing wheel would do that?

Even if you don't have RH pipes and just want to get the boards out a bit, they would be good for that too.  I've never ridden beautch on my bike, so don't know how the boards feel back there.

I'm bumping this back up to let anyone who wants a set of these the following:

The cost is $60...that includes the pair of spacers, pins, and two 1 1/2" stainless steel socket head bolts/lock washers...mailed to you in a bubble envelope via USPS.

I'm not making doodley squat off these, other than a couple of bucks for gas to run down and pick up the bolts and mailers.  If you want a set, PM me, and I'll PM my address so you can send me a check, then I'll send you the spacers.  If you'd rather PayPal or something like that, just add the cost of their fees to the 60 bucks and let me know where to send them.  It takes me a couple of days or so to get them made after I know you want them, so give me some lead time.

Just as an FYI, I know of 2 people who put the K pegs on their bikes.  Both had issues where they fell apart.  One lost the locking mechanism, the other had the end bolt come out and the peg would have left the bike but the exhaust stopped it.  They lok great and work, at least for a while.  If I had them, I'd be checking them often.

Ernie,  Do you know if it was the "old" style that fit on the square floorboard supports or the new ones made for the supports on our bikes.  Supposedly, they are redesigned, so I hope they fixed any problems they had! [smiley=nervous.gif]

Terry,
I feel like I have a bit of an interest in this one since I told you how much my bride liked the highway pegs.  I have to tighten the bolts at the pivot point every few hundred miles.  Vibration I suppose, so check them often, especially with the TDs.  On the HD crossover, the pipes will hold the bolt in even if it loosens "too" much.  Not sure about TDs.  So how does the missus like them?

We got to try them out last Saturday and she loves 'em!!  I'll be sure and check the bolts regularly!  Thanks!

I'm just bumping this up...I'm having two more pair of these made, and could have three if someone else needs them.  I've got six bolts/washers left (without having to go to the bolt store again...I don't mind, it's an old warehouse in the "bad" part of town, but both the owners are HD riders, so I always end up spending 45 minutes there :2vrolijk_21:).  One pair is already spoken for, so if you're interested, let me know so I can tell the dude who's machining them for me.  The machine is tied up for a couple of days, so I've got some time to let him know.
