The best kept secret for the most curvy road in TN is…… Should I really divulge it ??

Just to ease your fears Dr. Don't feel guilty if the place gets crowded!!!!

Thanks 2K so just to be clear if the place goes to popular it was your fault.  I was pretty sure there would be some others that have done the road. Have you been on more curvy or intense?

All my riding buddies are terrified of the gravel road. :D

I'm sure the gravel keeps many riders away, if fact the last 2 times I rode it I rode from 321 to the gravel & turned around. Not so much that the small section of gravel was that bad.........but you get to ride it twice that way. There are not many that good but hwy 80 from 19a to 226a is a good one. The south end (below 19a) is known as the Devils Whip and gets tons of traffic, while the north end is better and little known so less(no) traffic.

I like to find roads on google maps but it does not always work out so well. I tried NC 197 form Barnardvilles to Burnsville and it turned to dirt at the base of the good looking curves. We turned around. I also thought about taking a short cut off US 421 in NC called Tater road and that was a near disaster because we had to turn around in a steep corner on gravel. My riding group still jokes about Tater Rd. years later.
