No power
« on: November 18, 2015, 05:31:06 PM »

Could use some help I installed some electrical grips on the bike now I have no power what so ever. I thought everything went well I started out by unhooking the battery and pulling the fuse. Did the install of the grips (2015 street glide) the Limited CVO grips I replaced the fuse the bike beeped twice. I then turned the key and pushed the start switch (had the key FOB present) and the alarm system engaged and continue to beep until I pulled the main fuse and unhooked the battery again. Now no power what so ever but the alarm system still engages what pleasant sound in the enclosed garage.  Any ideas, do I need to have the ECM loaded with the fact theres heated grips on the bike now, could that be the problem?

2Soaper,  did you get an answer on this one? I am in the process of installing new CVO heated grips on my 2015 street glide  along with new handlebars.

Yes, I didn't have the hand control switch plugged in all the way plus I found out you do not have to flash the ECM.

Thanks, I'll double check all connections.  Grips will be here next week but I've already started on the 14" Mayhem install!

So I understand your putting on the CVO heated grips like the the CVO Limited it is the same wiring harness. But, looking at your pic I think you might run into a bit of trouble with the new grip lines not being long enough I was worried they were not going to reach on the stock CVO street glide bars.  Not to say you could clip them and then splice what wire you need.

Extended backorder on the heated CVO grips...hopefully will ship to me Monday! I got the Namz plug in extensions for both control switches and the brake/clutch cables fit fine with a little re-routing.  I will need to cut and splice a wire extension for the right side heat.  Way too short to reach the connection near the top of the radio.  Wish I could find a "plug N play" heated grip extension like the control extensions.
