didn't think of that aspect, good to know.  i generally try to park in such a way that i don't have to try to push this big pig backwards uphill.  short legs you see..... but there could be other times that you could park downhill without it being a parking lot.  so that is a consideration.

i could see between cruise control and this clutch, these old arthritic hands could catch a break.  :2vrolijk_21:  sometimes my knuckles just ache!

so you did research, what did you end up with?  and why?
Just turn the front wheel against the curb!

I have one, only about 100 miles on it so far.  Going on about 800 mile trip this coming weekend, then 2 weeks later about 6k.  The clutch comes with a strap to strap your front brake while parked.  I don't think the bike would move on any reasonable incline with the strap properly applied.

LOL.  Good one.

I've never seen a curb in a pasture (Sturgis), they usually aren't in the right place on Pike's Peak, and I'm just not strong enough to pull 1,200 pounds of bagger + gear backwards up a hill to get the front wheel off the curb.  The velcro strap sounds better.

I was being sarcastic, I don't mind shifting or see a need for this, just another waste of money to me.

Well, after a bunch of broken arms and wrists, my hand is good for steering, and I can pull the clutch lever, but holding the lever in for any time is extremely painful. This could be the difference in me being able to continue riding.

if you decide to go with the rekluse unit, they do offer a 30 day money back guarantee.  and there are a few hd dealers who carry them as well.  I don't know where you live, but the closest one to me is in Houston, tx.

I've not reached the point where it's either that or give up riding, so there are other things that are taking priority on my cash.  but if you do go with one, I would love to see a review of it.
