My 12 SEUC is totally stock.  36,000 miles.  No more noise than it originally made.  Been running Syn 3.  Probably jinxed myself now!

Ride it until it dies........the extended plan won't pay for "preventive parts replacement". Why buy the extended plan and then spend money to prevent using it?

YES brother  , that's what I say too. At 60 000 miles mine was rebuilt under warranty.

Now let's see if I can get another rebuild before the warranty runs out.

My 2015 FLTRUSE has 34k on it and doesn’t sound any different than when it was new. Engine runs well. Stock with Fullsac DX and 2.25 baffles.

I just purchased the Fullsac DX and 2.25" cores for my 15 CVO roadglide. I'm anxious to get them installed! How do you like yours? I'm hoping they're sound good, but not obnoxious.

It seems like there 's no rhythm or rime on mileage fault issues. Some at low mileage issues, some at mid mileage issues and some at high mileage with no issues.

There may be three factors at work here at manufacturing,..

Low mileage issues= Friday afternoon throw together.

Mid mileage issues= Monday morning hangover put together.

High mileage with no issues= Tuesday to Thursday put together.

Hope mine's a Wednesday No motor parts issues at 10K, only a blown starter relay that I did my self, arced the battery

Really like the sound. Not thumpy sounding. Can hear music fine without having the volume cranked up high. The sound suits my preference.

Well I think I jinxed myself. Went over to the dealership the other day to hang out with a friend while he was getting his bike serviced. I asked the dealership if they had time to check out a rattling/squeaking noise coming from the cam chest area on my bike. Just got a call from the dealership that some needle bearings came out of a lifter and got into the oil pump and oil filter. Guess I'll be without a bike for a few weeks but I'm getting a new motor under warranty.

Yes and no.  Sucks that it happened.  Nice he now has a new motor, with no miles on it.

So much for those SE lifters with larger bearings! 
Glad it didn't happen far from home Joe. When you get the new motor maybe slide some S&S lifters into it.

Will probably trade when the 17s come out. If not I'll get extended warranty.

Ford knew they had a problem a few years ago with there engines and the spark plugs that blow out of the head because they only have 3 threads holding them in. So in the more expensive King Ranch editions they put in nicer leather interior  so you would be comfortable while waiting for a tow truck. Yugo took a similar approach by installing rear window defogger's on all there vehicles to keep your hands warm when you pushed them.

Somebody told me that was the same reason Ford put heaters on their tailgates.... to keep your hands warm when you push them.

It's always a crap shoot with some MoCo parts. Some guys get long life from stock lifters, others don't. Remember the chain tensioners when the first TC's came out? One friend had his go south, metal to metal, at 7000 miles. Another friend went 59,000 miles before he replaced them. So, I gotta ask, feeling lucky?
