Your worries are grounded however any shop that is worth their weight in salt will send you a package that is ready to go.
The SE MVA heads are not that great. They still have a bloated exhaust port and frankly I can take a stock casting and get more airflow and more air speed on both sides.

No one said anything about SE MVA heads, I’ve heard they suck as well.

What we are talking about is SE PRO CNC PORTED, FACTORY HEADS WITH VALVE UPGRADE (16500013A) versus the off-the-shelf Super Stocks, FM Outlaws or Delkron.

If you are reluctant to put your recommendation on here, please PM me.

Thanks,

Why not use your cvo110 heads with mods from good head man, and walk away with the extra cash in your pocket?

Oh, I hear ya and I know it will cost a little more, but I want to keep the bike ridable until I have amassed all the parts. ie: no cores  This build is going to be quite involved…cylinders, pistons, heads, cams, injectors, and probably a higher volume oil pump.

Rick Ward has the tooling to do them in the CNC machine...he offers it as a service....that is what id do ....probably not that expensive either

It sucks that Its different. Cause I bought a 124 and later wanted to change the cam because the easy start is not a good match for me. Not that easy to do unless I go to manual.

Yeah, I hear you, because I had a lot of people suggest using easy-start cams since you can't get an S&S head directly from them machined for HD ACRs.  I did not want to be limited to easy-start cam choices so I shied away from doing that.

However, it's funny that guy right before your post mentioned Ward Performance.  I am pretty sure they do the CNC Outlaw heads for Fuel Moto (that start out as S&S Super Stock heads) that are machined for HD ACRs.  So, if your S&S heads are not already drilled for the proprietary 14mm S&S ACRs (and plugged), it should be really easy for Ward Performance and others out there to drill them for 12mm HD ACRs.

The S&S ACR kit is expensive, requires special rocker boxes, and have potential clearance issues.

Otherwise, unfortunately you are stuck with manual releases or the easy-start cam line up.

Good Luck,

Looks like the Yang version has that nasty 2250 area dip. Second one looks much better but still some dip. I have that on my motor and wish it wasn't there. I'm Gonna have to make a couple changes to get rid of it.

For my new build, I purchased a set of 2015, 103 Heads w/ACR, and Jody sent them to NRHS Performance for mods.   I've always used S&S, or Zipper's Heads in the past, and had good results, but I got great reports from a buddy of mine who used these Heads on his build, and Jody highly recommended them.  Being "old-school", I'm hesitant to change, but I'm all about "new & improved."  I'm waiting on some pictures, and will post as soon as Jody sends them.  Anxious to "shake Ol' Maybelle's grate", if you know what I mean!  8) Later--HUBBARD

Are these basically a reworked 110 head or something else completely?

Are these basically a reworked 110 head or something else completely?

They're on page 83 of the 2016 Screamin Eagle catalog, but here's what the catalog says:

SCREAMIN’ EAGLE® PRO CNC PORTED,FACTORY HEADS WITH VALVE UPGRADE
"A cost-effective alternative for upgrading the performance of your bike. The intake and exhaust ports are meticulously
machined to smooth the surfaces, enhancing the flow characteristics of air and fuel to provide enhanced performance.
But it doesn’t stop there; oversized (1.875") stainless steel intake valves and stock (1.575") stainless steel exhaust
valves rest in reshaped valve seats that improve flow rates. The combustion chambers have been machined to smooth
the surface and feature a blended radius on the bathtub’s edge to reduce detonation by eliminating hot spots
and promoting improved combustion. The head gasket surface has been milled to maintain stock combustion
chamber volume, which results in stock compression when used with Original Equipment pistons. Compression can be
increased with the installation of matched Screamin’ Eagle® high compression pistons. Heads are assembled with high
performance valve springs that support cams with lift up to .585". Heads are machined and threaded to simplify installation
of Automatic Compression Release (sold separately). All EFI models require ECM calibration (priced separately)."

After my earlier posting, I realized that these heads were intended more for 103"s.  So, I am going in a different direction for my 117 build.
