Quick detach tour pak
« on: February 13, 2016, 04:21:21 PM »

I have a 2012 FLHTCUSE7 that I just got last summer.  I am interested in being able to remove the tour pak as most of the time we don't need it.  What is the best way to go to do this for quick detach?

Welcome to the site.
The online HD Parts catalog will have the parts you need. Then you can take the part numbers and shop around for better pricing.
If you are mechanically talented in the least you can do the install yourself with minimal tools.

There are multiple threads in archive available about doing this Clauritzen. I did a version with photographs for my CUSE8 conversion that was posted. Not sure on your bike, but the amp relocation had to be addressed on mine - again referenced in several threads. Pulling and setting up the quick disconnect for the tour-pac isn't difficult, but there are other aspects involved to be considered. I haven't remounted mine since I did this.

I've ordered the minimum parts to do this. I'll post photos and part numbers , when I pick them up later today.

Here is a picture of the 2012 Steer Glide we had. I thought this may help with the final look with a tour pac on.
It was detachable but never took it of until the dealer bought it back [ LEMON ]
