Headpipe

Anyone ever use these? I want to get rid of the cat, and hang my stock pipe on the wall just in case.

Rush makes some nice items. I think they make Dragos stuff as well.

To be honest, MOST folks here prefer Fullsac X-Pipe for a header. Different choices from a Sports pipe to the proven X-pipe.

You can make even better and have a one stop shop with Steve at Fullsac and get CVO Baffles, TTS Mastertune Turner. And a forum discount.

Another option, I'm running a Fuelmoto 2/1/2 head pipe due to having it in storage when I bought the CVO.  Its similar to the Fullsac and V&H x-pipe except it's stainless steel.

Since I have had several head pipes for different reasons on the same bike, I can say without a doubt the FullSac fits much better, no noticeable performance differences noted.  No dyno, just rider impressions.

Wish I still had the Fullsac

I have to love the chutzpah involved in naming a product "Ecofriendly" that in fact eliminates the catalytic converter that makes the motorcycle meet air pollution standards.  Is there any place left where BS doesn't reign supreme?

On another note, be aware when comparing prices that the Rush system reuses the stock "crushed" crossover pipe, where others replace that crossover with their own design.  When shopping price, compare apples to apples, not apples to rutabagas.

There are better head pipes than the Slimlines.

S&S sells something very similar, a little cleaner looking in my opinion. Have a set on my RK. Fit and finish excellent. A touch cheaper also.

The newest S&S head pipe is there own BTW .. In the past it was made by KW but no longer.. There are some issues with the KW design, the flex pipe of the pipe is wrong and its is prone to breaking the rear mount bolts off .. Which btw are the trans pan bolts.. I have had to pull 3 or 4 trans missions out to machine the broke bolts off.. Complete PAI really..  All a none issue with the new pipe from S&S  :2vrolijk_21:

That would be the KW pipe. The issue with it is there is no way for the pipe to flex at the rear.. It's solid for the most part and puts huge stress on the bracket. As the engine rocks up it loads the entire pipe. I have not seen the updated info on their site as of yet. It may be there but what I saw was the old photos...

The pipe needs to have the connection for the other pipe that goes under the bike .. under the frame to allow movement , where as what you have does not.   It connects under the trans cover area and makes it rigid.
