Critters should be alive and well as no harm during gawking may occur to said critters. Gawking at dead critters is considered bad form and does not count for inclusion to the society.

Very nicely put Eric....

Yes all critters are to be alive and well for inclusion into the Society, however one can use unfortunate opportunities such as these to practice naming the species if one desires...

How bout it Don?

Hmmm, ok, I'll give it a shot.  He lost his antlers when he decided to run through rather than jump over the fence.  So he's not that much of a "he" anymore.  So I'll go with mod-doe-rater  :nixweiss: ?

I suggest practicing with animated critters, they tend to smell better.

Damn, he might freak the dogs out as much as did the deer they ran through the fence.

Good name Don, I really like it.

I might add that we normally try to include the location and other specific details to more clearly define the species, so in this case a more appropriate name may be A Southern Missouri, Fence Hitting, Rigormod-doe-rater.

Got it.  Probably ought to throw in something Latin sounding too; to make it all official sounding.  So he'd be a Greyhoundious-chased-southernmo-fencewreckingmofo-rigormod-doe-rater.

Yeap, I think that covers it.....

Good job.

I think you should be madder at the Greyhounds as I'm sure the Rigormod-doe-rater would rather not be.......

Do ‘piggybacking critters’ count?
From my personal archive, the attached is aptly entitled,
Coastal Georgia Baldie-jackedtheduck&turned-it into nest fodder-in the-refuge'
However, this wasn't exposed from the saddle of my bike...

There is no rule stating that the critter or photo have to be observed or photographed from the bike.

Good Job Kirk....

For a minute I thought that was the elusive Coastal Geogia Web Footed Duck Arsed Bald River Eagle then I realized they went extinct several years ago.

Well....  sumbitch was in their yard.  And he will soon be partially returned as sausage and other good bits.  I might even share with the Greyhounds.

Thanks so much for posting the fine picture of George and Georgette, Duane.
It gives me much joy to once again see them in their natural environment resting up on Comfort Inn Bald.

I disagree with the above, a South Carolina Roadkill/Fencekill Antlered/Antler-less Deer is considered a rare find if the body is still warm/slightly cool. You just can't in sporting terms mount the head or antlers. I would vote for inclusion into the society once properly identified and resubmitted along with some sausage in Eureka Springs this May.  :2vrolijk_21:
