no head work,,just the kit with a better air cleaner than the the stock one,fat kat  pipe with trying  a 2 1/2 baffle I have now and also  trying a 2 1/4 baffle and a 30 cosmetic gasket and a tts tuner,If Id listen to my mechanic,he would do more Head's cam ect.I'll be fine with a little more power.

Very good move on the thinner Cometic 4.125" head gasket!  0.030" should give you ~10.1:1 compression.  Not bad for $32.71 on Amazon with free shipping. Anxious to hear about your results!

IMO...Heads are off, have them ported & milled accordingly.. only a few hundred more to have done.

Not going to do any head work.Been there done that ,it will run finefor me.I've learned when to say when.

I've been reading the threads on these 117" builds and have been wondering when that subject would come up. I don't recall reading where anyone doing these builds has checked or mentioned the crank runout or if they had done anything to the bottom end at all.

GMR's build has a crank on the parts list. Haven't seen any mention with the dealer builds.

I doubt the dealer is bringing it up. If I were going to put that kind of $$$ into the motor I think I would bulletproof the bottom end.

Can you use the pushrods that came in the kit with that gasket or do you have to go to adj?

well bad news ,the cylinders that came with the race kit are out of round,have to call the dealership where I bought the Kit when they open today ,to find out what they are going to do.Thanks god my builder took the time  to check them before he started the build.Any one else having this problem or did the Harley dealerships just throw them together with out checking.

This is for sure not good news, hope the Dealer steps up!

My dealer gave the kit a good look before install. Said everything looked very good. I've put over 500 miles on the engine, had a dyno tune, all is well so far. That is unnerving to hear what happened to your kit.
