LIMITED
This tank set is 301 of 400. I thought there was a limit of 100?

i'd always heard 400.  never heard the 100 before.  but, that begs the question, is it 400 for batwings, 400 for roadglides, 400 for dynas, etc. or do all the models get lumped together?

i've said it before, but the biggest rip off on this is that once you pay $10k for the paint set, the dealer keeps the original tins.  no way i'm paying retail for a bike, plus retail for the paint set and not keeping both.  not to mention the amount of labor they are charging you to swap all this over.
I feel the same way about not being able to keep the stock stuff when the parts are changed over, besides 10k would likely get you a real nice one of a kind custom paint job done on the stock parts... when I had the custom paint done on my '01 Fatboy it cost a bunch of cash but it's the only one like it - not one of 'x' hundred sets.

I see the pictures but I must be missing something, I do not see 52K sitting there ? Must be more to this bike than just a Limited Number Paint Set ?

You're forgetting this is a Harley, manufactured by and sold by people who are masters at conning people into paying too much for stuff of questionable real value, and who have embraced the style over function business model for decades.  Trust me, there are still enough rubes and fools out there to assure those 400 bikes will be sold.

These are just limited Paint sets that have been added to regular bikes, and what ever else the dealer wants to add.  You can also buy these paint sets out right with out a bike.

There are some of the paint set for 2016 that are limited to 100.  HD in Baton Rouge has one in a RG they want just over 40K for.

I was told once by Knoxville HD how dealers got these sets, some were by raffle or luck of the draw.

In 03, I got a 1 of 200 set for my fatboy, with the 100th anniversary emblem on it, for my 03 Fatboy.  I got the set for cost and kept my 100th black and silver tins, which I still have with less than 500 miles on them.

OK, we've now evolved into premium pickup truck price range or entry level Corvette territory.  Meanwhile, the MoCo's stock keeps slipping along with sales.

You haven't shopped trucks much lately. I still can't believe I've seen a $70,000 F150, but I have, and that was almost 2 years ago now.

Considering we're all here on CVOharley.com, how many of us should be surprised??
I don't, but how many of you guys have an orange and black themed garage, or worse yet family room in your house??
As long as there are people out there that will do up their garage like a Harley Shrine, Harley will keep selling bikes for $50K and beyond.

I have a loaded, 2014 Stingray, Z51 3LT.  A neighbor was giving me grief about such an expensive car, I pointed out his 2015 pick up was 3K more than my car, and his wife's Yukon Denali was almost 10K more.

My Stingray was 30K more than my 15 SERGU

My pickup stickered at 52 for a F150....invoice price and factory incentives it was 43 minus 12 year old F350 trade-in at 12k was 31...worth 31, not 52

....but my FLHTKSE was 40k on tag and 36k out door, minus trade at 16, so 20k, easier pill to swallow....

Salesman buddy told me once everything sells...and your only getting screwed if you didn't like what you paid and did it anyways....meaning a deal is only in the eyes of the buyer, some pay full price, others need price knocked down, but they make money both ways

Look at new Mustang GT350- 1 per dealer and 10k over sticker!
