Welcome from Vernon, British Columbia. Interesting comparison between the two bikes. Enjoy them both!

I owned a V-Rod and it was much faster than my new Pro Street.  But, I can tell you the Pro Street rides much better and handles the turns with more stability.  Also, the Pro Street looks "Bad Ass".

I agree that the Pro Street rides more comfortable.  The seat, riding position and suspension are all quite a bit more comfortable.  In my opinion, it handles well, just not as well as the V-Rod.  Low speed it needs an unnerving amount of pressure on the handlebars to stay in the turn.  Higher speeds it does not track as well as the V-Rod...  I believe due to the softer suspension.

What year was your V-Rod?

I had a 100th Anniversary two tone (silver/black).  Wish I would've kept it, a week after it sold it was totaled.  Dumb idiot didn't know what he had power wise.

Rode the V-Rod to work today.  First time since buying the Breakout.  I really love my V-Rod.  It is so smooth, super agile, corners well and hauls ass up top.  I did miss the low RPM torque of the SE110 a little but quickly forgot about it when the revs got over 5k and the V-Rod pulled like a jet plane.  I do wish the V-Rod had another gear (or two).  Cruising at highway speeds the motor is screaming at 4k plus.  I missed the 2K RPM the 110 sits at at the same speeds.

The 117 kit and gasket are in at the dealership.  I am dropping the bike off on Monday for a HP transplant!
