What size is the stock shield btw?
I will try one the same.

Did it help a lot with wind noise and being able to hear the radio?

I'm not getting a lot of head bobble but wind noise on the ears is a problem.

I Believe the stock in 10"

Ordered the Freedom Shield 16" sport touring light grey this morning.
Hope this cures it.

Thanks

I never had a stereo on a Harley before. Mine too was a waste of money. Can't hear it over 65 or motor at 2800 rpm. My Pipes are too loud.  No changing them so I can hear music.
Yes wind noise is bit much coming from it and buffeting my Helmet and faceshield.  The windshield is the correct height for me.i too have wondered about what to do.

Take a look at the Freedom Shields. The also make full windscreens for Road King/Softail etc with the flare up to. It might be just enough to cure your buffetting problem.
I put the 16" on my SERG and although it's really barely an inch taller than the stock 14", the flare puts the wind just over my head and has quieted it down immensely with no buffetting except from the occasional cross wind.
Here's one for a Road King...

Thanks.
Inseam has nothing to do with windshield height! It's torso length, How high your head sticks up! I have heard if your head is level while sitting on the bike, your eyes should be looking 2" over the windscreen.

Directly no but allows you a reasonable way to comparison when you know someone else's setup that is the same height.
for example, I'm 6'2 and so is my buddy, my inseam is 31 his is 34 so it stands to reason that my torso is around 3" taller than his.
In practice this seems to be pretty accurate.
His Klock 14" screen is perfect for him but too short for me (head buffetting). I went with a 16" and it's just about perfect, possibly could be an inch taller.

Of course you need to be talking about the same bike and same seat or there are again too many variables.

Long Ride Shields 12". Got for 70% off. I believe they are always on sale on Veterans Day, Memorial Day and maybe July 4th. You don't have to be a veteran to get discount. Mine has worked out great so far.

I just checked www.longrideshields.com and they are currently on sale for up to 60% off.

I checked into Freedom Shields. They don't make any Shields that have a headlight cut out for 5.75"  size. Evidently they don't make one for the Dyna bikes with the smaller headlight.

I've had very good luck with Clearview Shields.  I have the light grey smoke 18" recurve on my 03/RK and love it.  I'm 5-11 and it displaces the wind over me and the BSR.  Customer service has been exceptional.  If you need a custom cut/cut-out, simply call and discuss with Mark @ 1-800-798-6089...they'll fix you up and not gouge you.
