In the Main Lambda page on cals that require lambda settings the lambda replaces AFR Settings. If you need to know what the lambda setting equals in AFR just plug in the .953 .967 up in the table in the top bar and it will tell you the AFR it is set to
You can also plug in the afr you want like 12.8 and it will spit out in the bottom box what the lambda setting is supposed to equal to equal the afr you want.
Thanks I ended up googling Lambda and AFR and found out it's directly realted.
From what I found using an online calculator Lambda for afr of 14.6 is .993.
So the first step in Doc's instructions was set the entire AFR table (now Lambda) to 14.6.
I'm guessing that tutorial was written on a much older Mastertune version and they have since changed from the AFR table to using the lambda value.
What should the lambda be set to in this table for V-Tune data collection?
I assumed it should be .993 but only columns MAP=20,65-85 go to .993 then all the others up to are 1.001 with the last few being .934.
Also missing in Mastertune 2 vs Doc's tutorial is the table for closed loop bias voltage.
2.0 has a "MAP normalization gain" table which looks very similar as it's MAP vs RPM.
Values in this table all are close to or at 1.000. SHould I set them all to 1.000 or leave at the base file vlaues?
So my setup steps to gather data for Vtune are:
1) Load TTS base map EWR617-06-A3
This is for a 110 with 259cams and Fullsac header/2" cores but it was closest config I could find as it used 259 cams.
2) Adjusted ECM tuning constants:
Displacement = 116.9
Injector size = 5.32gm/sec to match the injectors supplied in the 117 kit.
From Doc's tutorial:
3) Lambda table: Highlight all fields and increment to .993 (first row, other cells go to slightly different numbers).
4) Accel Enrichment Table: all set to 0.00
5) Decel Enleanment Table: All set to 0.00
6) Closed Loop Bias Voltage: Does not exist,
(MAP Normalization Gain: Assumed this was similar to closed loop bias and set all to 1.000)
7) Knock Retard Table: Set all to 0.00
Save and upload to ECM.
I believe I'm set to do test rides, does this seem correct?
