Go on you tube all kinds of choices and sounds. I am going through the same thing now with only 500 miles on my bike. I have had v&h headers with Reinhardt slip ons but not quite loud enough. Got to get rid of the catalytics and  I like the HD race tuner to dial it all in.

I am leaning towards V&H complete system. They are great. If you can only afford the headers now you can add the rest ladder. You will need to read tune though which can get expensive. The best way is to do all the mods and tune one timer

I only have Rinehart slip-ons now and was looking at the V&H headers after I get some more break-in miles. Did you notice any difference in performance? I love the Rinehart sound but a few friends have the V&H HO with the carbon tips and they look and sound sharp... now I'm debating on whether to go with just the headers to save some money, or get the full V&H... and a tune of course.

What's nice about V&H you don't have to build it all at once. You can do the header first than the slips for a complete exhaust when you can afford it. Need to get rid of the factory header with the cats. Your engine will run cooler. Don't have to wait till break in. Remember if you don't do a full exhaust all at once you will spend the extra $$ to remap again

Paid a visit to the dealership and got a quote on V&H power dual headers, tuner, installation, dyno, and keeping my Rineharts. A bit pricey but I'll probably do it anyway...

Around $1800 us. Thats for parts, labor, and dyno tune. But now im thinking of going with a full v&h system which might add another $600 to $800.

I hear you. Pricey yes but also a necessity. Lots of people like the FP-3 / power vision but my choice is the SE power tuner.
