I switched everthing to Geico. I had used Nationwide for 30 years, because I knew the agent personally, and thought that was the right thing to do. You know, spend your money locally, and all that. And, I had never had to turn in a claim. Seems to me that should be a factor in rates, but all I ever got was increases in premiums! Then, one day a few years back, OTIS told me what he paid for Insurance. I couldn't believe it! He was paying a fraction of what I was. I have "Stated Insurance" on Maybelle, which started at $50K, and decreases yearly. I think it's $40K this year, but I can Insure it for whatever I've got in it, with documented invoices, for an additional .85 per thousand. My monthly premium is $31.00. I have $1000.00 deductible, $100,000 liability, and $40,000 personal injury. It would be cheaper if I went with WV minimums, but this is the package I chose. Nationwide was much, much higher. I tried to negotiate the cost down with Nationwide, telling my agent friend what Geico had quoted, but to no avail. Later--HUBBARD
