Electronic Instrument Panel
« on: June 27, 2016, 01:48:31 PM »

I was in West Virginia this past when a thunder storm came in hard and heavy. My 2016 CVO Street Glide was rained on pretty hard at the parking lot from the hotel.  The next morning I started the bike up and none of the electronic gauges (Instrument Panel) were working, No Fuel Gauge, No Speedometer, No Battery Gauge, No Speedometer, and No Cruise Control.  However, the GPS was working and I managed to get by guessing my mileage refueling points.

Any idea where or how I would need to check while on vacation.  The bike is under warranty but I have to wait until my return from vacation.   >:(   :(   :o :nervous:

I have a friend who has a 2016 CVO Road Glide Ultra who is having that exact same problem now. Did you find out what the problem was? Thanks

He said checked all fuses and they were all good. Can't check codes because speedometer won't work.

Sometimes it just takes awhile to check fuses and pull codes.  No reason to be in a hurry about such things.

No he didn't.
He said he checked all fuses in fuse box and even replaced the Batt fuse even though it wasn't blown because it's the fuse that feeds the gauges.

I know the post was 4 yrs ago and I don't know if bluenight is still on the forum. I sent him a PM and posted in this thread in case someone else had had this problem.

Did he say this in a PM to you?  Because it's nowhere in the original posts.

Last time he logged in to the site was 1 November of last year.  Like was said, it can take awhile to check fuses.  Caution and care and slow deliberation are our friend when it comes to troubleshooting :2vrolijk_09: .

Something like this, only different:

Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack
I went out for a ride and I never went back
Like a river that don't know where it's flowing
I took a wrong turn and I just kept going....

Here's the "different" part:

Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack
I went out for a ride and it rained on my back
Now my stuff don't work and my fuses are blowing
I've been gone for years and I just kept going....

I like that.  It has a good beat & if my knees were in better shape, could dance to it. (I miss Dick Clark)
