kuryakyn 24D or woods 222
« on: July 14, 2016, 10:25:16 PM »

I have a brand new 2016 cvo street glide and had woods 222 cams installed.
I had a 2010 cvo street glide with kuryakyn 24D cams

I swear the 2010 was faster it could just be me. I went and got all the numbers but not sure what it all means. I hope someone could help

woods 222                  open    close   lift   duration   centerline   tdc lift
int                               14        34     .555   228           100         .156
exh                              34        14     .555   228           100         .156

24D
int                                20        42      .575    242           101         .190
exh                               46        14      .547    240           106         .150

also even though the 24D seemed faster it also smoother

I have jackpot xxl pipes with jackpot mufflers

the 255 cams are horrible I didn't like them in my 2010 and I still don't like them in my 2016. huge improvement when I went to woods 222 cams

Sorry but your xxl pipe is overkill. It is likely hurting your bottom end.

What I like about the 24D is you get a great hit on the bottom, and it hangs in there past 5 grand. quiet and smooth too.

that's ok northstar because at about 10 mph if I puch it I can get the tire to break loose a little so if its taking away I'm ok with that.

Being in Chicago, contact Frank @ Dragos & have him install one of his blower kits & call it a day. Then you can throttle jockey at any & all speeds & have a thrill of a ride... Whatever you're after the ole' mighty buck can get it done.
