a little cooler here in Middle Tennessee. Temperature was about 96* today with a heat index of about 100*. 

Being a transplanted Yankee from CT I will admit that I don't really mind the warmth all that much  - beats the he!! out of putting up with that cold weather I had to deal with for almost 4 months a year , and that white crap.....

 ;D   I'm just the opposite.  Born and raised in Michigan, spent the middle years of my life in a hot and humid corner of Virginia, and now near Chicago.  Now that I'm officially an old fart with some medical issues, I find I can tolerate the cold much better than the heat and humidity.  As I tell anyone who comments on that preference, I can always add layers when it turns cold, but the alternatives when it gets hot as hades in the summer are quite limiting.  I don't want to live like the old folks in Florida, never more than a short distance from an air conditioned car or building and unable to just go outside and enjoy the natural environment.  Not to mention riding a hot motorcycle in traffic, which I now avoid like the plague.  Sweat running down my face and everywhere else takes the fun out of it.

Was outside for an hour and a half this afternoon and forgot my doo rag.  Top of my head will be peeling again in a few days.  I hate sunburn up there.  Got help me if it was metric....  :-[

Not necessarily out of it... spent a big part of the day at a (outside) outlet mall shopping with wife and daughter. :sweatdrop: Only difference is I wasn't sitting on an oven (bike) while roasting in the heat.

Spent 5 hrs on the tarmac with a motorcycle safety class. Only hit 93. Should have checked pavement temp but didnt really want to know.
