As already stated, don't forget to have the cases trued, and the Timken conversion done. I had Dark Horse do a 110 crank for me, it was a 120/120 build. Didn't have the cases done. I didn't have any problems, but I don't have the bike any longer, either. It was always in the back of my mind "what if" those bearing start to walk????

This is not at all pertinent to this discussion, but this is a photo of a 6" Carillo Connecting Rod left over from our racing days.  From a 750 HP 366 small block Chevrolet motor.  Crankshaft broke and the block was practically sawed in half.  But other than bending, the rod hardly has a mark on it.  I thought it was pretty amazing, so I saved it to hang on my wall!

With talking to P3R.  They do have a lot of options for anything you want.  They will even allow you to source rods and send them to them.  This can make for cheaper options or just your rod of choice.

Enough force.  They will all bend.  I don't have the experience as some but I have never seen a rod just break, and they usually bend after contact with something.

you want rods to bend in the case of carasrophic engine damage,not break.not sure about their car rods or new TC street rods,but in their racing,motorcycle rods,ive seen a lot of carrillo`s break,not bend

No doubt you have seen it more than me.  I was just surprised because I always thought Carrillo were on top for the HD world.  Maybe I am going on older info.  Last 4 engine cases I have put around fly wheels have all had the knock offs installed.

Mind me asking what rods you prefer for race and street?

We use shumaker rods I knife & fork motors,GRP aluminum rods in our side by side GUNFIGHTER nitro motors
