interesting styling exercise, I always have been intrigued by the MGs, especially the ElDorado of the '70s.
While the lines are certainly superheroic, 85ci and 88ftlb doesn't seem matched to the presentation.
Maybe it's lighter and smaller than it looks. I haven't looked up the specs, but it LOOKS like it's nine foot long and weighs 800lbs.
I'd like to see one in person.... but I'd RATHER see a Motus up close first.
Tested Dry Weight of the Moto Guzzi California Touring is 739#. I'd expect the MGX-21 to be a bit lighter; maybe 720# Dry.
The Cali Touring put down 83.1HP/78.3TQ on Cycle World's dyno. If exhaust, breather, cam, and tuning basics are available, the 1380cc 4V twin should be able to get to 100HP/100TQ-square.
I must have one. Best thing from Guzzi since the MGS-01 track bike. (But I'm a sucker for Pasta Bikes.)
The Motus is a completely different animal. Why choose? 😎
