Babe & I, Alan and Miguel left San Diego early and rode up to Lake Elsinore and hooked up with Lou & Terry and Mike. We rode over to Santa Monica and Pacific Coast Hwy. 1. We then rode north on Topanga Canyon Blvd. to Old Topanga Canyon and on over to the Rock Store where we had lunch.

We followed this couple up Mulholland Hwy. Noticed her license plate first, then his and just knew there had to be a story here. A couple of rockers that have a rock band in the area. There's a story that goes with the plates but in short, it took her four months to talk him in to his after she got hers. Her bike definately fit the bill....it was blinged out in places I didn't know you could bling. And if I remember correctly......she has over 120,000 miles on her Sportster and has rode it all over the country.

With a mid day snack under our belts, we rolled on up Mullholland Hwy. to The Snake. They no longer allow parking along The Snake so Paul, the Rock Store Photos photographer has to park up the hwy. a mile or two and ride his bike back and forth from his photo shoot location to his truck and all his camera gear. We spotted him at his truck.....he was in the middle of changing cameras and lens from his short lens to the long lens. After a brief conversation, told him we'd be back in about an hour or so. We rolled on down Mulholland Hwy......a beautiful, scenic ride and about 80F so the weather was perfect also. Soon we arrived at Neptune's Net where we came across some other interesting motorcycles.....

We finished our lunch on seafood here at Neptune's Net. Lou & Terry and Mike rolled on north....Alan, Miguel, Babe & I headed back up on top of the mountain and The Snake....

and on back down to The Rock Store.....

The four of us rolled along the coast back to San Diego. It was a great day, a great ride and great friends.....what it's all about.
