The dealer in Quincy IL has one listed, according to Chopper exchange they listed it last September! You would think they would be willing to make a deal to move that iron!

So when you guys call these dealers do you just say hey! I am interested in the 2016 CVO limited in black and red, what is your bottom dollar price out the door?

I sent an email to a dealer in Maryland last night about a used one they have but so far no response

I email first, get a lot of no response.  Many that do reply via email want to talk on the phone to give you numbers.  I've found many don't have the bikes they list on cycletrader, chopperexchange, or even their dealership website.  It's so far been a lot of work to find one at a price I like. 

But to answer your question I do cut straight through the bullchit and tell them I want the best cash out the door price once I know they have the bike.  Majority are at MSRP still, some $5000 over MSRP, and mostly if I find discounts it's 1000-2500 (most are 1 or 2k).

Not sure anybody is suggesting wait until the 2017s are out so that you can get one of them.  I believe they're suggesting that you wait to see the price drop on the 2016 models.   We all know the first year release from the MoCo is not without a whole new set of problems. JMHHO   

Correct JC. As much as the new and improved motors seem to be the new solution to the previous crap I will be waiting this time to read all about the new issues as I for one will not participate this time around. Besides I have held on and made improvements along the way that I am finally enjoying mine now. I do however hope I don't have to read about to many problems this time.

Looking at a 2916 CVO Limited. MSRP is $39,900. On the tag is also $499 for shipping to be added to the MSRP. Dealer also want $500 for setup. I have purchased 7 HD bikes and never recall paying for setup. The dealer will sell the bike for $36,500 but also wants the $1000 for shipping and setup. Any thoughts?

Dealer in Burlington,IA just listed one on chopperexchange today.  Might be ready to deal.  Owner is a nice guy, chatted with him for quite awhile last time I stopped in there.
