Another thought that sort of goes along with the high bars. Have you looked at your hand position. Are your wrists square to the grips or are they cocked to the left or right causing pressure? How about your up and down wrist position. Is your wrist locked solid and square or is your wrist positioned with a bend. This could be carpal tunnel syndrome. The numbness starts at the thumb, meaty and tip parts, then moves to the index finger and sometimes the second finger.

Best of luck, DH

About 30 years ago I went down at fairly slow speed without gloves ad the asphalt torn up my knuckles which I still have the scars today. Never get on a bike since without the best quality gloves I can find or stand if it is hot. I am a big fan of Held gloves that have kangaroo leather that is incredibly thin but strong.

I am told the 16 and the 15s at different. . The ones in the parts catalog say won't fit on the cvos.   :'(
Dave.... Mine are peeling off too already. . Maybe Mike knows what will work.  Thanks. Stuart

Not sure about 15 and 16...but 15's were different from the 2011 grips that I bought...had to do some minor wiring--very minor. 11's had 3 wires and my '15 had 2 wires. As it turns out the older ones had 2 power wires, so you just splice them together and then you have the 2 wires needed to connect to the bike. Went over this with the dealer before I did it.

A really good friend of mine surprised me with a nice pair of riding gloves. . They are cushioned and extremely comfortable. . I tried them yesterday on a pretty good ride. . About 300 miles round trip. . Made a huge difference. .my hands didn't fall asleep once. . And any vibration seemed totally gone. . Thanks for the tips and the comments. . I'll be a glove wearer from now on. . Stuart :2vrolijk_21:

I'm happy with mine!!! my only complaint is the rubber is wearing down and off and its not even a year old with 9,500 on the clock. I'm gonna try to get it swapped out with another style and hopefully get longer life out of it.

I tried doing the same thing. . However there aren't any other choices yet for the 2016 CVO with heated grips... Let me know if you find something that will work. .   Stuart

The earlier grips work with a small wiring change. That's what I did......I didn't like the grips for the '15's

My 16' grips rubber started to peal, took it in and tried  to get different grips as I preferred the ones on my 10' or 13'. Dealer ordered two different kinds none will work with current wiring harness. They put a new set of the same kind on. Now with 13k miles, new ones pealing also. Didn't like them day one and still don't.

The older grips have 3 wires, the newer ones have only 2. The older ones require 2 power connections which means just splicing the 2 together to make one and connecting it to the factory harness. My dealer looked this up and compared wiring diagrams from my '15 and from the '11 which is what year the grips I used were from.
