Thanks!  I have given up.  I do not want to ruin my heated seat.  The Grab Rail PN is 52400090.  I too have a riders back rest and there is no conflict with it.  It seems to me that the width of the seat is preventing the seat from fully setting down.  Both sides are tight.  I could try removing some of the padding but I am not very handy and would probably ruin everything.  So I guess my wife can just hold onto me and I won't have a good tie down when traveling alone.
