hello all..

unfortunately i need to sell my 2012 CVO Ultra as i just don't get the seat time i was hoping for (3 hours a month not cutting it) so i hope someone else can enjoy this beast...

question i have: what site is a better platform to sell bike on; Cycle Trader or Chopper Exchange?

anyone with any experience with either or both sites - your feedback would be very much appreciated

i am hoping to get 25k for it (based on current market value)

 Recently had one on Chopper Exchange, Cycle Trader, and Craigslist, after a month of nothings I did a Facebook posting on a CVO page and that sold the bike in two days. Guy came out from Kansas and rode it home. Sold the bike and made a friend.

I have had good luck on both chopper exchange and cycle trader.  Have used Craigslist but got more flakes, lowballers and scammers than legit interested buyers.

It took 5 months to sell my Night Train as I wasn't going to give it away, and if it didn't sell would continue to ride it which I did.  Buyer saw my add on cycle trader and drove 5 hours and paid my asking price.  He said "your bike sold itself".

Now I'm probably going to buy another softail to keep the RK company!

I've never had any success on Cycle Trader but I know others have.  I find so many bikes on CT that it is hard to wade through.

Had my 07 cuse2 on it and www.hd4sale.com  No interest at all on CT but hd4sale got the sale for me. Good price for listing and I think it is good until sold.

That is Market Retail. It ain't gonna happen. I sold mine last year for 24K. That was all the market would bear. With the introduction of the Rushmore bikes and now the Milwaukee 8 motor, your bike is old technology. Everyone buying a CVO wants the latest and greatest. Good luck with the sale. I hope you do get 25K. It would show that our bikes are still holding their value. Book values for your bike are Average (Dealer Selling) Retail is 25K and Low Retail (private seller) 19595.00

i can only hope that my bike and color combo is that one' as it was for me

--midway between 20K and 25K probably will be the right number - i hope  8)

will peek at hd4sale and the FB page and decide from there..

not in major hurry - shoooot, may as well ride her out tonight  :P

currently, have an add on craigslist - i am sure the riff raff calls will be coming in soon enough...

iv'e not really used the Ebay platform - but i will take a look to see what current bikes are listed and maybe throw up an add there...

sure i will find a buyer at some point - until then, i ride away

--i do have an 03 Fat buy bone stock with 1500 miles collecting dust that will be at least two wheels for me once the CVO is gone

i did look up the FB page: CVO Harley Harley Davidson Riders and it is showing as a closed group - never seen a closed group before - then again, i am not a big FB'er
