While our experience between the socks and the insoles is similar Mano.....our connections differ.

I have the Gerbing Extreme Element heated pants and jacket with the dual controller.  I have the boot insoles plugged in to the bottom of my pants.  I have my gloves plugged in to my jacket.  So my bottom half is controlled by one side of the controller while my upper body and hands are controlled by the other side of the controller.

I've found this method to work great for many years and ride in comfort in temps all the way down to 12F in total comfort.  I believe I've been in colder temps but do not have the Formotion temperature gauge on this bike.

I have found that I do not require the heated pants. I wear long underwear and a pair lined jeans made by Windriver. I just run the wires down the sides of my legs. I cannot feel the wires. There is enough heat that comes of the motor with what I wear to keep my legs warm. I do not wear chaps ether. Lowers and faring break the wind. I have been out in below freezing temps, no problem. Legs are warm. I actually had the heated liner pants brand new with tags and gave them to a buddy.

whatever you say, I got the new ultra thin under garment from First Gear and they are great. Thin and not hot at all until you turn the heat on.

Does it come with a inside pocket for the receiver?

There is a pocket but i'm not sure what its for use the one in my jacket. I bought the remote dual zone and love it. Put the lanyard around the mirror and Velcro on the clutch so I can control temp better.

I use the same set up as Big Lew.
Wireless 2 zone controller.
Firstgear has been great.
Can't speak for other brands.
I rode from Huntington WVA to Chicago with temps at 23f when I started and it never warmed above 32.
It was like riding in an electric blanket.
It makes riding in cold weather fun.

Yes it does, haven't found anything for the neck that doesn't fog up the helmet yet.

Big Lew you need a pinlock for your face shield.
Absolutely works.  No fogging.

Neoprene face mask with a neck gator over.  Pinlock and no fogging.

My feet are usually OK but just in case I carry some toe warmers and just stick them in the boots when necessary. Much easier than putting on pants or adding wires. Billy

And how do you control the heat? No really guys for years I rode in cold weather and just learned to deal with it. But once you get the right gear its no big deal. and it much nicer to be warm! Don't wear any of the bulky over pant or heavy jacket. You can wear the light weight stuff like underwear but once you plug it up its toasty!

You have no control They are just easy to bring with. I don't need them till the temps are in the 20s. I usually stop riding by freezing but have got caught in the mountains. Just easy solution to just take off the boots and throw them in . Take up very little room. I have the socks but the wire are uncomfortable. I also put on boot gators, I have a road King So I have engine guard covers which are a great help.   Billy
