After a long hesitation, I've mounted the Nostalgic Saddlebag Guard Rails.
I lost the pure line of the custom but it's better for protect the painting on the saddlebags.

I think it looks great!
Good job!  :2vrolijk_21:

Jacques, I did mine for the same reasons.  I think it looks great on your bike as well as mine.  And you know as we make our customizations, it really only matters what we each think of our own changes.  If we like it, then it is right.   :2vrolijk_21:

Hello Jim,

Yes, it's arrived and I ride a little bit with this.
 :huepfenpinkie: :huepfenpinkie: :huepfenpinkie: :huepfenpinkie:

For the pics, it's here :
http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php/topic,11073.0/all.html
You have the story for the accessories but it's not finished.
I've not many free time and I've only 100 miles. The weather is better but this week end it's rainny :(
It's really a big pleasure to ride with this model.
Now, I wait your news with TM and AT... ;)

 :beerchug: :beerchug: Jacques

Excellent!  Congratualtions Jacques!! :apple: :apple:  It's stunningly gorgeous (even if it is the second best colour!  ;))   :drink: :drink: :drink:

You are lucky - mine may have arrived long before yours, but you got to ride yours first! :-)   Mine is not registered until March 1st, because that is the date that 07 registrations start in the UK.

You've done very well with the accessories!  I'm surprised you didn't go for a lighted rear fender tip.  I too have the nostalgic guard rails (kept from my 06 CUSE) and have been hesitating and hesitating....... Nice to know you you had the same hesitation!  I'll fit mine next week I think.  I'm also glad to see you fitted the Jiffy Stand extension.  I haven't been able to try mine on the stand before drilling to see that it would be OK in that position, but I see from yours it is!

The TM with Autotune is ordered, and I hope it will ship to my friend in the next few days, so he can ship onward to me.  The SE aircleaner stuff is all here ready and waiting, the SE mufflers are on the way from the US now, and I just have to arrange headers and muffler tips.  I'll let you know how it goes!  8)

I wish you good weather this weekend!

Thanks Red !

Hey Jim,

The Jiffy Stand extension was necessary and I'm happy with this.
For the hole in the Jiffy, it's a forged steel. It's very hard metal.
It's necessary to have a very good drill.

I've my V&H dressers duals and Oval slip-on, my "Roll you own" A/C.
I wait your test with the TM/AT.

Cheers

Yes, I'm guessing that I'm shorter than you, so if I didn't have it, I couldn't go anywhere on my bike, as I wouldn't be able to put the stand up or down!  :)

Hahahaha!  Yes, I've fitted two before.  Last one (last April when I got my CUSE) killed my drill and around 20 drill bits!  This time I have a new drill and I have stocked up on drill bits.....

Ah, you'll be keen for me to try it so you can get use out of these, then!  :huepfenjump3:

Where did you buy the dresser duals, and how much were they? (and how much for shipping?)

Cheers

I bought my set on Ebay.
But the salesman was a nice guy from this site : HDFatboy.
He rode one week on his CUSE2 and sold these for a new set from Rinehart.
My set is new.
The price was 555 $ and 169 $ for the shipping plus 40$ for the insurance.
I asked the sending in two box for to divide the value of each and shipping by USPS.
When I received the deliveries, no taxes.
It means the total purchase was 764$.

I put the pics of my set mounted on his bike.

I'm sure you've read of my experiences of Rinehart elsewhere, so I think the guy may wish he hadn't sold you these!  ;)

They are the last part of what I need, so I must try to order now.

I just put on the V&H Duals. The rear O2 bung might be awful tight with the AutoTune O2 Sensor. Something to keep an eye on. ;) Hoist! 8)

Thanks for the heads up, Hoist!  If it is, does it look modifiable? :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

Anyone done this to reassure me?   :-\

The first time I heard of this, the fix was to thread something, (18x1.5 bolt) into the bung and change the angle of the bung so it doesn't hit the starter.

I have never seen it firsthand, just passing along what I've heard.

Good luck,

Chief
