Cams and Baffles
« on: January 25, 2017, 06:53:26 PM »

I have a 2013 CVO Ultra 110. Thinking of installing some 585 cams with 2.25 full sac baffles. I have been doing some reading that states that that unless you are going "big" with the motor that the stock pipes would be fine compared to spending the extra $$ for replacements with little benefits. I am not getting a lot of extra heat from the converter.  Any thoughts out there?

SE 585 or S&S 585 ??

I don't see any benefit in doing engine mods & keeping the cat headpipe
FullSac DX headpipe is a proven performer
& of course, a great tune is always key

SE585 is a good cam... but it's not a "Bolt In" & go cam....to shine, compression needs to be at 10.5 with a great tune

If you wanna do a "Bolt In" only? Look at the RS587 from Zippers

& get rid of the catalyst head pipe.... FullSac DX for the OE look or if you like the look of a "true dual" set up, look at D&D "X Cat" head pipe with their 4" mufflers with wrapped vortex baffle.

Who's doing the work & tuning the bike ?
