Hey, Dan.
You're right to bring that up.  The capacity of the stick or card can exceed the ability of the device to actually read it.
Yes, I use a 64gb card with the BoomBox, and it works just fine.
Technology even just a couple of years old oftentimes won't read more than an 8gb or 16gb card.  If you're unsure about that, do the research on your device.  The manual or someplace on the web should tell you what your device can read.
