Rinehart Staggered Dual Modifications
« on: February 20, 2017, 04:49:55 PM »

I bought a set of Rinehart Staggered Dual Exhaust. I am installing them on a 94 FXSTC with a  Custom 100" Carburetor equipped Fatso motor. The Pipes sounds good but I want a little more Bite!
Removing the Allen screw near the end cap the baffles appear to be stuck.  Is there a special tool or use some type of body repair slide hammer?  Once they are removed what's he best way to open up the flow? I an asking because I don't want yo screw them up and cause them to Rattle if they don't fit correctly when reassembling

This works for me;

Put some WD-40 on the screws when the pipes are cold and let it soak in.
Be sure you have a wrench that is case hardened and fits correctly.
Tap the end of the wrench to try and break it free.

When you get them out, buy some stainless screws and put a dab of anti seize grease on the threads and don't over tighten.

Good luck.

Ok thanks,  how hard would it be to make it louder and more free flowing? Thanks again.
