Harley Fuel Pump Intake Strainer
« on: April 26, 2017, 11:06:13 AM »

On several occasions I have removed my fuel pump assembly for a fuel filter change.  Even though I cleaned the intake strainer as best I could I would have preferred to replace it as well.  The only option I could find was to purchase the entire fuel pump which has the new strainer attached.  That isn't going to happen at between $200 and $300 bucks from HD.

I know others have used aftermarket strainers and fuel pumps but for those wanting to stay in the Harley Mother ship realm of parts I believe I have found the original strainer.  It is a Delphi FS0097.  Photo below I hope!

When I just googled FS0097 and several dealers are showing stock but it also appears that the FS0097 is now superseding to another part FS0088 ??

Hope the helps anyone in need.

Hello,

I went to Autozone to check the FS0093 as well but that one is quite a bit longer and I was afraid it might impinge on the tank check valve assembly.  I am glad to hear it worked well for you!

Thanks!

I got mine from NAPA for $23.00 no shipping. Other online sources had them for 14.95 but 6.95 for shipping costs so I went back to NAPA.
