What's the latest word from "pool boy" on the matter?

Last I head he had his head under the water and was blowing bubbles to pass the time until the dealer meeting.

Instead of starting a new thread every year about next years model we should just have a pool boy thread that runs year round. That way we won't have the same stupid azz conversation every year,

That`s an interesting overview, even if the CVO models are missing.

What is an FLHRXS...a ROAD KING SPECIAL ( FLHRS) with a windshield? For what feature stands the X?

What are the community thought about that?

Aero8

Close.  Road King with an infotainment system; with built in porn.

I heard (on the internet, momentarily) that there won't be any new bikes for the 2018 model yard.  None at all.  The "115th anniversary special" will be an ongoing year long sale to finally get rid of the
2014 111th Anniversary, 2015 112th Anniversary, 2016 113th Anniversary and 2017 114th Anniversary model new bikes still littering dealer inventory all over the country.

Minor correction to the model years to align with HD's marketing.

An electric city bagger that appeals to the millennials in skinny jeans,  with some sort of head protection that doesn't require their man-bun be taken down.

If the skinny jeans were dropped out of the equation (and the man bun.....) I could see myself interested in an a cool looking zippy electric bagger for an around town ride.  I've never been  much of an around town rider on real bikes.  A zippy torquey electric ride that is more than some just some dumb scooter might be interesting.

Obviously you didn't get the memo, HD and their wonderful marketing is after a whole new generation to provide a lifestyle to. The ole white fat guys are dying off in record numbers and customer service is looking to expand their language skills and promote the lifestyle to further degrees. I'm ancient news myself.

An electric scooter is in our future, it's called the power chair. After motor replacement and batteries too it will be a zippy torque monster you dream about. Please don't forget yer eye protection. It's all fun and games till someone gets their eye poked out. :bananarock:

You made me laugh.  Sitting here with a big grin on my face right now.

I got my love of cars and bikes legitimately.  Grew up playing with all of it with my dad who was a machinist and started me out in gas stations and garages when I was 10 or 11.

Dad's last few years were sometimes a bit of a challenge. He had a three wheeled version of some brand of electric scooter that he got around the big yard on and that we'd haul to car shows or anyplace else there was a lot of ground to cover.  He also got around the big yard on the riding lawn mower sometimes too.

Yeah, you guessed it, the mower was hot rodded and we played with gearing on the scooter too.  I don't know how many times I'd hear one of his favorite two or three expletives followed by some weird laugh and would find he'd rolled the damn scooter again.  Going slower than full wind on its electric motors was just never his thing.  Hell, going slow in anything was just never his thing.

15 years now and some change.  Still miss him.  Here's to our dads (and all the things they taught us [whether they should have or not])  :huepfenlol2: .

Information from Poolboy Infotaiment Crystal Ball 2018 HD Predicitions, Inc.  None of this info is verifiable, reliable, or undeniable.  Read at your own risk, believe at your own folly - please ladies and gentlemen: no wagering on the actual outcome....

CVO bikes to be shipped in 3 different trim levels.  One will be engine upgrade to 117 from the 114, from the factory.  One is paint/trim related - like a blackout or partial blackout bike.  One will be: dunno, your guess is as good as mine or this one trim level is just the "regular" CVO.

Sporty to get new motor?  Maybe 2019 instead?  Maybe a version of the V-Rod motor, redesigned for Sportster.  More power.

M8 motor gets utilized in some models besides Touring - Softail.

Dyno - dunno less or gone or almost gone.

CARB reports should be out in a few days, engine info will be listed there.  No idea as to the accuracy of any of the above, but it sounded good, and I got a great deal on some Pool Stabilizer.

Plaid is the new black?   :nixweiss:

And I didn't even need any Pool Stabilizer, BTW.   ;D
