Other than the 117 M-8 I see NOTHING that would entice me to part with my hard earned $$ to purchase a new bike. This line up (style wise) has got to be the worst I have seen from H.D. in memory. W.T.F.!

I agree.   I just returned from the dealer with the cash I paid in advance to secure a new 2018 cvo.

I am the 5th person to do the same .    I am all for deviating from the norm but this is really bazaar...to much black out.   I thought  Matt finished bikes were not selling (new or used).

I know ...maybe they forgot to send the CVO's from the primer room to the paint shop....😳

From everything I can decipher, that bauble hanging below the rectifier is a small oil cooler.  The following touring models DO NOT have twin cooling:
Road King and RK Special
Street Glide and SG Special
Road Glide and RG Special
Electra Glide Ultra
CVO Street Glide and Road Glide
Freewheeler

Funny that twin cooling was the bees knees a few years ago and now only a handful of touring bikes remain.  Ultra Limited, Ultra Limited Low, Road Glide Ultra (all 107 M8's) and the CVO Limited (the only 117 M8 twin cooled).  Maybe that little experiment is going the way of the doo-doo....

Minor adjustments to the post.

I am definitely in the minority here as I like all 3 Road Glide colors. I see potential in all of them. For me it is about time they departed from the norm and did something different. For the sake of Harley hopefully for as many that don't care for the colors there are just as many that do. I am after a M8 CVO RG bike and the fact that there are no lowers on the Road Glides is a win win for me.  :orange:

Good new on this, you might be able to find one with a discount sooner then later.

I phoned my order in.  :orange:  the gunship battle gray is special paint for radar or laser pings.

paint is someones military technology that HD purchased thru chinese vendor and it's proprietary to HD now so good luck on getting this very special stealth paint matched up down the road.

I would have enjoyed seeing the HCC Chameleon paint with some kind of grafix, on the CVORGS, instead of the haze grey battleship "color".

This has got to be somebody's idea of a joke from the Neanderthals in the marketing and paint department...."offset front graphic look good.  Dumb masses [read those words quickly] will purchase.  Company make money.  Good for bottom line.  Raises we get"

Haird, couldn't agree more.  This is by far the worst paint/graphics I've ever seen on a HD.  It's  embarrassing looking.

The set-up and delivery is a joke.  It's the cost of doing business, not a cost to pass along to the consumer.  I had a battle with my dealer when they tacked that on mine....and didn't install the backrest, highway pegs were at different heights and angles (one was also loose), one key fob was not programmed and had the battery installed backwards, still had the blue plastic wrap on some of the chrome, etc.  They didn't specifically credit me the set-up costs, but my wife ended up with a brand new leather riding jacket, boots and sunglasses.

I like the BATTLESHIP GRAY CVO Road Glide. Kinda looks like the Toyota Tundra Pro Pick-Up Truck called Cement.

I just hope it doesn't attract any big freight liner ships like the Naval Battle Ships as of late!

The set up and delivery amount is negotiable - at some dealers - even though they will say it isn't.  If they refuse to take the charge off, I have them add that amount to my trade-in.  Advantage there is the $895 reduces the amount of sales tax (6% state tax here) since the trade-in value is higher.

In the industry "set up and delivery" is known as "ADP" (Additional Dealer Profit).  Started out as a small number, over the years it has grown to be a significant amount.  When it was $199 I started negotiating it away long time back.  Not always easy, not always possible, have walked away from deals over this. If the dealer is being adamant & you have your bike serviced there, a compromise is for them to "give" you that amount in service or parts or clothing.  Downside to that is you are prepaying for something, but if the dealer won't offer that - fuhgeddaboutit.

Some people don't like conflict, dealers know this & that is why they push off stuff like this off on consumers.  If everybody refused to pay, the practice would go away.  They do not, so it is not.

Ditto for the paperwork processing.  Just enhanced dealer profit.

I've almost done my fair share of bitching about this year's lineup but I will hand it to HD for not rehashing the same colors (red SERGU, Black SESG) again.

I wanna see them in person. Hard to judge which is the best color by a picture.I do like the extra speakers in the lowers on the sg and the 117.

The Gray wouldn't be bad with "USN" stenciled on the lower edge of the saddle bags. That's it! Maybe it's Harley's way of paying tribute to us Military Veterans!
