Only if someone pays to upgrade to a 117. There's no RK coming stock with the 117. Only the CVO models which are the Limited, SG and RG.
I was trying to say that there is a chance that a CVO roadking would be possible without lowers. I hope. Billy

FYI: from Bagger.com

"We put the 117 Milwaukee-Eight motor that the 2018 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide comes with to the test. We put it on the Dyno to see what kind of HP and TQ numbers it puts out. The new CVO put down a 93.75 HP & 112.51 TQ. We love the look of this model, the Gunship Gray is subtle, but super rad. Stay tuned for more on the CVO Road Glide as well as the rest of the 2018 Harley-Davidson Touring models."

:worthless:
Now that is more of a CVO paint job.  I guess they figured they could milk another $5-$10K from their customers who want a paint job that stands out.

So it's about 40 hp and 40 tq short of something with good cam/pipes/tune, right?

I am first in line for a CVO Road glide with the dealer I use.  The first one they get is the Gunship gray.  Should be by the end of the month.  I want to see it in the sun.  Most likely though I will pass on it.  I am really leaning to the Black Earth & Vivid Black even though I usually like light colored bikes.

I think I would like the orange one if it had the black motor and bars and so on.

The price jump is just crazy.
Dave I figured you would be jumping on the new RG. Looking forward to your posts after you get it.

A solid 20 TQ from what Steve at Fullsac got from one of his builds with heads and his pipe.

I'm in agreement with you there..... I haven't ruled it out however the grey is my first choice.

Maybe it is just me, I am somewhat suspect when a magazine, website, etc., has nothing but praise and no negative comments.  I think they just are trying to keep their advertisers happy.

No,  it's not just you.  You're in fact making a very valid observation.  But it's a fact of life when advertisers are a supporting arm of your business. :drink:

Motorcycle magazine "reviews" read like motorcycle company ads.  Not a new development, they are so happy to have a shiny new motorcycle they are just giddy with excitement.  I always read them with a grain of salt, about as reliable as Consumer Reports car reviews (biased & not reliable from my experience either).

Yup,  the color grey or (gray) as I see it.........is quite popular for Porches.  A guy that ownes a restaurant in Calabash a few miles from here is on his second Porches and both have been grey/gray.  Some might think of it as Silver in color.

Meantime,  a personal question....I grew up in Omaha and my mother taught grade school and also junior high in Council Bluffs.........way back in the 50s and into the '60s.  She taught at Hoover grade school and later at ............can't recall the exact Jr. High,  but what ever was on that end of town.  Did you grow up there and attend school in the area. :nixweiss:

I agree looks more like CVO paint. IMO CVO colours look more like standard rather than a custom.
Color shop will become more popular than CVO paint and with the limited number of paint sets available that will increase. JMO
