I wonder if the MOCO has been watching this site and all those who have been upgrading to the 117 and pretty much happy about the results they decided enough of you tested them and decided to release the 2018's with the 117.  :nixweiss: I at the same time wonder why the 114 only the one year.  :confused5:

my stealership sold a SG and a RG in that white/black for $53k in 2016.  I saw one of them for sale with 300 miles on it for $24k OBO.  Heck of a hit to take.  Worse than the hit on a CVO after a year.

Primer Gloss?  The problem I have with this paint (other than the blah color) is the lack of creativity.  Basically, this paint job didn't cost anymore than the paint on a SG Special...but you're still paying a CVO price.  I just don't see these being in demand.  And whoever posted that the blue anni paint on the SG looked like poo was right.  Would anyone on this forum ride that?

you are so correct and the cost of powder coating is about 25 to 30% of the cost of chroming so the profit margin should be at an all time high.  I wonder if the mat finishes are less costly too???

I have been a cvo fan since 1999 and have never seen anything like this.   God I miss Willie

I may be wrong about this , but will bet the grey RG has a nice pearl to it and once you see it the sun light it will really pop, just a random thought and the orange/grey looks same as the '13. The black grey really gots me thinking I need a new bike

Definitely not the "eye candy" that we have become accustomed to over the years, but I for one am extremely curious to see them (especially the SESG's) in person. That's what happened to me the last time with my current 2011, once I saw it it had to be mine. Same as a lot of you. As many have stated the difference in what you see in person is usually night and day. I really like the upgrades that the 18's have and my initial thought was the same as most of yours when I first saw the paint schemes. What the _ _ _ _?  But never say never!

BTW I'm leaning toward the Dark Alloy & Black Denim SESG. Love the Orange accents, 117 and stereo upgrade along with ALL of the other recent upgrades.

I for one love the colour so much of the CVO Anniversary Ultra I have ordered one, hope I can get one down under, waiting
for the dealer to get back to me, anyone get a picture of one can you post it up please, nothing to look at in the dealers
here for a while and I know when I ordered my Gold Rush in 2014 it looked completely different in the flesh.

P.S I have seen the YouTube clips.

I'm thinking resale values on the 2016 and 2017 models just shot up significantly.

Wow, I just realized the V-Rods are gone for 2018...  Can't say I'm not surprised, but at the same time I thought they were trying to attract a younger crowd.  For me, the V-rod was a lot better than the Streets.  Oh well,  R.I.P. V-rod.

Best you think again, mate went in yesterday down here for a change over from a 4 month old CVO SG with 7,000km to a 2018
CVO Ultra and they offered him 20,000AUD less than he paid 4 months back.

Trade in value and resale value are completely unrelated.  :drink:
