I'm not sure I'm brave enough to trust HF with the bike.  List of failures I've purchased from there is too long.

This one is well made, very sturdy and heavy.  Used 2 of them for years in the garage (space savers) for an Ultra & a RK - no issues.  Looked at several brands before choosing this one, it compares well.  About $58, compares ok to brands that cost $150 to $200.

Some stuff from Harbor Freight is junk - they have a lower cost MC wheel chock (about $37) that is junk unless used on a lighter weight bike.

good to know, at $58 compared to $200+ I'll go check it out before making a purchase.

It's worth a look.  Stay away from the sliver colored $37 HF chock.  Not sturdy enough for a heavy bike.   This one is black, much heavier. May need to add something (more rubber) to the front rubber feet, may not.  If concrete floor is slick it might slide a little.  Not a problem for me here after I added some old chair foot bottoms to the rubber feet.

HF may have one set up, may not.  If not, would take it out of the box to check it out.  Easy to assemble/disassemble.

Northern Tools sells their version of MC stand for about $79.   http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200466706_200466706
Also worth a look for a lower cost option.  The HF one is the one I bought.

Question is anyone using a stand to keep the bike up, not using the kick stand. The garage is getting to small with all the bikes and now the car ??  if so what brand or company ??

I'd just leave the car outside. If its that tight, how much fartin' around are you gonna have to do just to get the scoot out? Simple ride to clear the head turns into a pain in the ass...

I have the same problem with small garage & leaving Car outside is not a consideration. Been using Condors for last nine years, saved space with bike vertical vs leaning on stand.
Read the suggestions above and have had the Harbor Freight one first and it is just not suitable for a 900# + bike. The Baxley is just over engineered for this simple operation. It is a good piece of equipment but massive looking. The Condor is simple, will adjust to any bike and has tampered holes in base of you feel need to bolt down. I have buddy who bolted his to a three foot square piece of 1/4" treadplate. I don't see need for this but we all have opinions .

Have seen the Condor and Wheel Dock chocks in use many times.  On the ground or in trailers.  A local here uses the Harbor Freight part that iski mentioned and it's worked well also.  One not seen mentioned so far is Bike Pro.  I've got a couple of those.  Like the others mentioned they just work.  No drama and no fuss; just work as you'd expect them to.

I use two Condor chocks.  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:

Exactly.  We use two Condor's also.  They say you just need two straps.  I use four.  Never had a problem except for the time I did have the back end bounce uncomfortably close to the side of the trailer when I drove it 10 miles on a flat tire when I only had straps on the front but I don't recommend doing that in the first place.  I got two flat tires within 5 miles of each other as blowouts at 75mph.  After the second one I didn't have another spare so I drove it on the side of the freeway to Walmart in the next town on the flat and bought 4 new tires.  I won't do that again no matter what kind of tie downs and chocks I'm using.  I also won't go anywhere on 7 year old trailer tires again.  Dry rot will get you.  I had three flats within a 30 day period.

Trailer tire dry rot causes a lot of problems.  Happened to a friend a few weeks ago - old trailer tire was dry rotted then separated.  Caught it before it blew out.

I use 6 straps now when trailering.  2 front, 2 back, 2 middle.  Zero issues since.  If one gives, bike doesn't go anywhere.

I only use a WheelDock any more. I have tried other chocks including some mentioned in this thread. BUT the WheelDock is hands down superior and much easier to use. It does not have a teeter totter mechanism. It is a flat walk on chock that has a gas strut that closes the holding mechanism. Try it and you will never use anything else. Plus the bike cannot overcome the holding mechanism unlike teeter totters.

Does the Indian variant for any of these chocks include a head dress?

More seriously just had a thought, does that fully dressed Indian front fender extend in the back in such a way that it might be a hazard to any of the chocks with a longer back end?

I use the Baxley Sport Chock - It is expensive and there are several copies out there for less. I use these in the garage, on the trailer, in the truck etc... Any Chock you need to use caution if it has a moving part like this wheel cup. It would not work with a wrap fender.

Don,

I use the Wheel Dock  EZ-UP center stand that mounts to the bottom of the frame. Jim put it on for me. Very easy to use, I can deploy it right from the saddle, no need to dismount. I like it because I always have it with me. Makes the bike easier to clean and store. It's also one less item cluttering the garage.

 :-\
Many,  many...........years ago,  my Triumph 650 TR6 came with a center stand.  I liked it and it was very handy.  On a prior bike,  my HD SEULtra Classic,  I installed one of these wheeldock stands thinking it would be the do all.........end all for working on the bike straight up/vertical when cleaning it, etc.

However,  I soon removed it cause of a couple of problems............It's not that easy for an 'ol codger to rotate the 950 pound pig up onto the stand in the first place.  Second,  it's another matter to get the damn bike down off of the center stand unless you have a mounted passenger and are on a concrete driveway to provide the "traction" to drive it off the stand.

In my garage with a painted (somewhat slick) concrete floor,  forgetaboutit..............I now have for the last few years a permanent "burnout" mark in my painted floor where I stood up on the pegs and then dropped my azz on the seat while at the same time.......letting the clutch out in low gear and also ready to grab the front brake..........just to get it off the damn stand and roll it backwards out the garage door. >:(

A final "knock" on that damn center stand would be those parking lot or (some streets) where they put in "speed bumps",  unless you slowed down to a complete "crawl",  the damn center stand would bottom out on those humps.

I removed it and sold it..........................end of story. :drink:
