Corbin has had this seat out since October of last year!!  Saw one on their 07 SEUC at biketober fest.  Tried to buy one on the spot but said they had sold out, called the store on main street & they to had sold all available.  Ordered one & got it a couple months later - have not gotten it on the bike yet.

Also had the dual touring seat on my 04 seeg.  It is a great seat especially if you have long saddle times.  Was leary of the firm aspect of their seats but it was very comfortable.  Much better than stock seat for sure!

I sat on the Corbin 07 SEUC at Biketoberfest also.  Typical Corbin - firm seat - looked like it matched very well - including the inserts.

I have a Mustang on the 02 RK - ok seat.  Still running the stock seat on the 07 SEUC.

Corbin- You either Like them or Hate them - They Panted the phrase "Ride it for a few 100 miles and that will break it in" When you return a say the seat is too hard they say you haven't ridden it enough go ride some more an then let us know. By that time you are worn down and put the seat on e-bay and move on :)
Like all Corbin Seats they look Nice.

give her a ride, that should break it in  ;D

When  I was in FL, I sat on Jeorge's Corbin. It seemed awlfuly firm. I can't see how this would be more comfortable than a stock one with more cushioning? AJ
Thats all I ever hear about Corbin, not to knock them but, I'd have to have a 90 day return, no questions asked. I know Mustang was like a 2x4 hard as hell, I'm told Corbin is known for being hard, and Mustang isnt. Didnt work for me. :nixweiss:

Everyone raves about them but I can't see how a hard seat will work. I don't care if cowboys ride all day in the saddle, the horse has knees to absorb some shock.

I will have to come up with something before the HDS trip in September!  :orange:

This is all so familiar sounding, because that's exactly how I used to think. I sat briefly on a Corbin, and I said No WAY!! Too F'in hard for me, so I bought a Mustang. It was firmer than my worn out stock seat, but I still wore it out after about 40,000 miles. This time, I went for the Corbin right off the bat, hoping it would be as good as people have said. The first time I sat on it, I wasn't sure. The first hundred mile trip wasn't that comfortable. I still haven't done an all day ride on it, but from what I have done, I have to say, I no longer fear the Corbin. It is firm, and contrary to standard logic, it is comfortable. Maybe a person with some orthopedic knowledge can explain it, so I could understand it, but for me, it just works.

Pinkie hasn't put hardly any miles on her part yet, so she may have a more difficult time going to DC next month, so we'll have to see how that goes.

I believe it it a combination of their Comfort Cell foam, which was created to provide a firm, resilient ride that doesn't break down. This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort. and the other main factor is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue.
I have no orthopedic knowledge whatsoever, but I did sleep on my corbin last night  :D

and I think we all agree Firm is better  ;)

Knees on horses... absorbing shock... like shock absorbers?  heheh   11,000+ miles on my Corbin (on this bike) and very happy.  The stock seat caused hot spots after much less than an hour in the saddle and had me really squirmin' after an hour.

But, of coarse, that is why there are Corbins, Mustangs, Le Peras, Road Sofas, etc, etc....  Everyone, and their rear, are different and thus require different seats, and paint, and chrome...... :^)

There is probably a thread somewhere on this already....

So far I have had very good experiences with Air Hawk seat cushions. http://www.shapefitting.com/category.aspx?categoryID=54

Without cover

With cover

They are available from a number of places - usually around $159 or so.  I used one for an ironbutt ride and about the only thing that wasn't sore after that was my butt.  The key to using them is to not over inflate the cushion.  Also it makes summer riding a bit cooler.  Works much better than any of the gel seat products I have tried.  Cheaper than buying a new seat.

Not to highjack the thread but.....are those size 38 BOSSBAGS?  Do you ever have a passenger with them on (don't see any passenger pegs).
