Do have the same engine?  I thought you had to have a special engine out there?

Only thing visible, aside from higher price tags in "Kalitforya" is a silly little carbon cannister that is hung underneath and a few more lines on the labe referencing the emissions compliance. Don't know of any de-tuning that goes on, except for Brian Beano, but that is the Muffled Eagle option.  :pepper:

Anyone else make a Euro dyno run?  Has the shop there done another that would give you an idea of where the Euro spec machines come in?

Hope it is resolved, the Boss Hoss most likely isn't your best choice :huepfenlol2:

Not unexpected.  You do tend to see the same thing pretty much all over the country.  Locals are very much hit-and-miss while you've got a good idea what to expect from the state patrols.  Would like to say that it adds to the spice of things.  But can remember the occasion or three when the local and regional spices were a bit bitter.
Screw'em all, they should be out fighting REAL crime instead of bullchit like checking exhaust. That really frosts my butt. Dont get me started.

The Calif EVO's ran a different cam. I don't recall if the Carburetor was a special Calif unit or not.

We do, everyone out here drives like a freakin NASCAR driver so you have to have an even faster motorcycle to survive. Ask Big Daddy. He was wowed at ridin SoCal style with me and the Beags and we were only doin a little over 90.  ;)

I heard from a very good source that the MopCo will be bringing to the 2008 model line-up a bike with the largest wheels produced to date for any custom machine, not sure if it is width or height though.........................

The 2008 models will be not for me !  >:(
My legs are too shorts !  Corbin seat and Legend Air will not solve the problem ! 8)
And I speak not about the problem of nitrogen in the tires.... ;)

Happy to buy a 2007 model  :cherry:

dogols,

The bikes are the same US vs. European markets except for a few items.

Mufflers
A/C backplate
ECM calibration
Lighting (turn signals, headlight, brake, license plate)

If you replace the mufflers, backplate and remap the ecm, you should get similar numbers to us in the states.

Sounds like someone is not doing their homework.

True Duals will acutally rob your bike of HP unless you go with the stepped head pipe version.  I hope that's what they put on your bike.  Believe it or not...you need the backpreasure to create the HP.  Loudness does not equate HP.

Keep us posted.

So true, 70mph in the far right slow lane would be slow for that lane in good old SD.

I think thats a good idea.  When my completely stock 103, factory a/c, factory pipes, no sert, no pc, no dyno tune, no nothing is doing 93hp, 93torque, thats pretty dam good.
